Automatic cut and transfer coiler and or spooler
An automatic cut and transfer coiler and spooler apparatus, system and method for use generally comprising a rotatable turret with two independently driven spindles thereon wherein the drives for the independent spindles are attached to the turret for selectively rotating the spindles about their own axis independently.

Textile machine and method for operating same
A method and associated textile machine are provided to produce a roving having a protective twist from a fiber bundle fed to a consolidating means. The produced roving is wound with a winding device onto a tube arranged at a winding position. After the wound tube has been fully or partially wound with the roving, a tube change is initiated. During the tube change, the wound tube is removed from the winding position and an empty tube is moved into the winding position. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube at least until the roving comes into contact with the empty tube as a result of the tube change such that the production of the roving is not interrupted during the tube change. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube in a region that lies outside a region last wound prior to the tube change.

Apparatus and methods for winding and cutting wire or cable
A system for winding wire includes a wire take-up unit and a wire cutter/grabber unit. The take-up unit includes rotatable first and second mandrel portions, and a wire directing traverse arranged to feed wire and alternately form coils on the first and second mandrel portions. The cutter/grabber unit is configured to cut the wire at a cut position between the traverse and a coil formed on the first mandrel portion and to grab a free end of the cut wire and move along a predefined cutter/grabber pathway to a hand-off position where the wire is transferred to the second mandrel portion. As the cutter/grabber is moved along the pathway from the cut to the hand-off position, a length of wire between the traverse and the free end of the wire does not decrease, and that length of wire is longer at the hand-off position than at the cut position.

A Method To Position Spindle Precisely In Turret Type Automatic Winder
The invention relates to an automatic turret type yarn winding device. The automatic bobbin changeover process involves winding of yarn on a bobbin, followed by rotation of the turret to bring an empty bobbin into the winding position. Pressure rollers are provided to ensure consistent and accurate winding. The accurate relative positioning of the bobbins and pressure rollers is important. Wear and tear and particulate dust may cause malfunctioning of winder systems which may affect accuracy of turret rotations and relative positioning of the bobbins and pressure rollers, especially when the turret rotation during bobbin changeover stage is done in a single rotation. The invention provides a device and a method to position spindle precisely in turret type automatic winder, especially to identify correct stationing position of turret spindle after reverse movement post doffing. It involves, during the bobbin changeover process, the step of rotating the turret in at least two discrete rotational movements carried out at controlled speeds, whereby the empty bobbin assumes its accurate winding position.
