DEVICE FOR RECEIVING AN EXTRUDED ELASTOMER STRAND DURING TRANSPORT TO A PROCESSING LOCATION
A device for receiving an extruded elastomer strand, during the transport thereof to a processing location, including a reel that receives the elastomer strand as a winding, wherein the moving reel is provided for temporary inclusion into a production facility that continuously processes the elastomer strand, by rotation of the reel, to form seals for doors or boots of vehicle bodies. The average thickness of the reel resulting from the total mass and the total volume of the material of the reel is <2.5 g/cm.sup.3.
REMOVABLE WEAR HUBS FOR A SPOOL OR REEL
A spool or reel for carrying spoolable or coilable material comprises first and second sides, a drum disposed there between at least one flange secured to a side and associated with the axis of rotation of the spool. The flange comprises a socket preferably centered about the axis of rotation and configured to receive a replaceable wear hub. The flange and replaceable wear hub are configured to transmit torque there between so that relative rotation between the components is minimized or eliminated.
UNIDIRECTIONAL LOCKING SPOOL
The spool for storing and distributing linear product has a drum and inner flanges defining the ends of the drum. The drum is configured to receive a linear product wound about the drum. The inner flanges have locking gears on the outside faces of the inner flanges. The spool has an axle supporting the inner flanges and a pair of outer flanges. The outer flanges each have an outer flange gear positioned in their inner face and corresponding to the inner flange gear. The inner and outer flange gears cooperate to allow the drum to rotate in a first direction but not a second direction when the spool is supported by the outer flanges. The outer flanges are slightly taller than the inner flanges such that the spool may be positioned on a flat surface (e.g., truck bed or ground) and unwound without any equipment.
SPOOL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A spool, presented herein, is comprising a proximal side including a central opening about a rotation axis thereof, a distal side including a central opening about the rotation axis thereof, the proximal side and the distal side being assembled together with alignment of the rotation axis thereof, an axial slot radially extending from the central opening and a recessed portion communicating with the central opening, the recessed portion extending between the axial slot and a locking member receiver. A method of using same and a mechanism to engage lock and actuate the spool is also presented therein.
Modular spool for automated footwear platform
A footwear lacing apparatus can comprise a housing structure, a modular spool and a drive mechanism. The housing structure can comprising a first inlet, a second inlet, and a lacing channel extending between the first and second inlets. The modular spool can be disposed in the lacing channel and can comprise a lower plate including a shaft extending from the lower plate, and an upper plate including a drum portion. The upper plate can be releasably connected to the lower plate at a connection interface. The drive mechanism can couple with the modular spool and can be adapted to rotate the modular spool to wind or unwind a lace cable extending through the lacing channel and between the upper and lower plates of the modular spool.

Cord reel assembly with continuous cord
A cord reel assembly including a single, continuous cord having stationary and retractable segments, with the stationary segment including multiple connectors and sheath covering such connectors where the connectors twist and untwist relative to the sheath in response to the retract and extension of the retractable segment.
Pipe spooling deployment equipment systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe drum, which has a drum shaft and a drum body that enables a pipe segment to be spooled on the pipe drum, and pipe deployment equipment. The pipe deployment equipment includes a brake disc, which has a shaft socket that is keyed to matingly interlock with the drum shaft to facilitate tying rotation of the pipe drum with rotation of the brake disc, and a spooling assembly that includes a motor shaft, in which the spooling assembly ties rotation of the motor shaft with the rotation of the brake disc to enable the pipe deployment equipment to actively rotate the brake disc in a first direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment off of the pipe drum, to actively rotate the brake disc in a second direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment onto the pipe drum, or both.

Rotatable Cable Reel
A cable reel of the present disclosure can include two flanges and a central drum being independently rotatable from one another. The drum, which can be configured to receive a cable, can be mounted on an axle. The two flanges can be rotationally mounted on the axle at opposing distal ends of the axle. Bearings in the flanges can allow for a full rotation of the flanges about the axle.
