ADHESIVE-TYPE INSECT TRAP

An adhesive-type insect trap includes a body having a hole for insertion of an adhesive sheet; a light source mounting unit disposed on the body; and a cover which is detachably mounted on the body and has a through-hole in at least a part thereof. The body further includes a light source seating unit provided so as to correspond to the light source mounting unit, and a light source may have one side thereof mounted on the light source mounting unit and the other side thereof seated on the light source seating unit.

Imaging with wireless communication signals

Methods and systems for estimating a distance to an object are described. In an example, a device can receive a reflected signal of a modulated signal being used in a wireless transmission of data. The reflected signal can be a reflection of the modulated signal from at least one object. The device can estimate a distance to the at least one object based on the modulated signal and the reflected signal. Further, the device can use the estimated distance to image a scenery including the at least one object.

Trap System For Insects
20190297868 · 2019-10-03 ·

An insect trap with at least one inflow channel structured and arranged for drawing insects into the housing, and at least one outflow channel structured and arranged to direct airflow to atmosphere. A region between the inflow channel and outflow channel provides space for the user to place textile containing human odor as the insect attractant, or artificial human odor, or any other insect attractant. A suction source is located within the housing and in fluid communication with the inflow channel, the region where attractant is located, and the outflow channel. An insect disabling structure is located between the inflow channel and outflow channel.

The unit comprises an engageable-releasable combination of a receptacle-basis on which a closing-carrying lid is superimposed. Once engaged, a circular opening between a top extending from an upper end of outer wall of receptacle-basis support and a bottom, horizontal flat surface of closing-carrying lid is formed. An entrapment cavity in an interior of receptacle-basis support for captured crawling insects is established.

Humidity tolerant carbon dioxide generator for arthropod trap and method of using same

The present invention provides a humidity tolerant CO.sub.2 generator that operates in combination with an arthropod trap. The CO.sub.2 generator comprises a means for controllably adding solid pellets to an aqueous acid solution, and optionally includes a sound-based counting system for counting the number of pellets dispensed from a feeder reservoir and into a reaction chamber. The invention also provides a method of using the same.

ADAPTIVE INSECT TRAP
20190281805 · 2019-09-19 ·

The current subject matter relates to controlling insects and includes a trap that can vary operation based at least on a target insect. For example, different insects are attracted to and/or repelled by different things, such as gases, orders, lights, and sounds. In general, things that attract a given insect are referred to as attractants and things that repel a given insect are referred to as repellents. By varying the operation of the trap, different attractants and repellants can be used to attract and/or repel specific insects. In addition, these attractants and repellants and/or characteristics thereof can these be varied dynamically based on, for example, time of day, proximity of individuals to the trap, proximity of insects to the trap, geographic location, and the like. Related apparatus, system, articles, and techniques are also described.
