MOSQUITO ATTRACTANTS
A mosquito attractant composition is described comprising heptanal, octanal, nonanal, (E)-2-octenal and (E)-2-decenal. More particularly a composition wherein the compounds are present in the following proportions: nonanal 1.00, octanal 0.32±0.16, heptanal 0.06±0.03, (E)-2-octenal 0.04±0.02 and (E)-2-decenal 0.13±0.065.
Slim insect trap using UV LED
The present invention relates to an insect trap for attracting insects using a UV LED and sucking and capturing the attracted insects with a fan. The insect trap of the present invention comprises: a body; a suction part provided on one side of the body; a fan installed behind the suction part; at least one UV LED, provided on the body at least around the fan, for irradiating ultraviolet rays forward; a discharge part for discharging air sucked in by the suction part in a direction different from the air suction direction of the suction part; a duct which is an air passage from the suction part to the discharge part; a first streamlined inner surface, provided on an inner wall side opposite to a direction in which the duct extends on the basis of the suction part, for guiding air sucked into the suction part toward the duct; and an insect net, installed in the discharge part, for passing the air therethrough and capturing insects being sucked in together with the air.
COMPOUNDS, COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ATTRACTING AND/OR ARRESTING BED BUGS
Disclosed is a composition of volatile and less-volatile pheromone components that can be used alone or in combination with other compounds to attract and/or arrest bed bugs of both sexes and all developmental stages. This blend can be used to bait traps that are effective in capturing bed bugs in infested premises or can be combined with a pesticide that is lethal to bed bugs.
PASSIVE INSECT SURVEILLANCE SENSOR DEVICE
Disclosed are real-time insect surveillance sensor devices and methods that use a colorimetric readout for detecting insect disease vectors (such as mosquitoes which can transmit pathogens such as DENV, CHIKV, and ZIKV). The method involves an attractive or feeding solution combined with detector conjugates. The conjugate can specifically detect proteins present in insect saliva and/or proteins specific to mosquito-borne pathogens.
Modular insect trap
The invention relates to a trap for collecting arthropods, for example ticks. The device comprises an attractant placed over an adhesive surface with the adhesive facing down or at an angle to prevent debris from inadvertently collecting. The arthropods, attracted to the device by the attractant then adhere to the adhesive surface on their dorsal side. The invention also relates to a method of using the device to collect insects by placing one or more of the devices in a desired collection area and collecting insects over a period of time without the need for constant monitoring of the devices.
SELECTIVE DETECTION OF BED BUGS
A device, system, and method of controlling pests are disclosed. A pest control device includes a sensor having a sensor cell and a controller. A surface of the sensor cell is coated with an agent that reacts with a targeted biochemical analyte secreted by pests. The controller is coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor cell indicative of a rate of change in sensor mass detected on the surface of the sensor cell, determine whether the rate of change in the sensor mass based on the received sensor data exceeds a predefined threshold rate, and transmit a pest detection alert notification to a server in response to a determination that the rate of change exceeds the predetermined threshold rate.
AN ECO-FRIENDLY MOSQUITO CONTROL SYSTEM
A device for controlling harmful insects. The device includes a case, a container for collecting insects, service doors, wheels bracket, wheels, a decorative cover, a fan with a protective grid, electronic elements, an odorant reservoir, a CO2 cylinder, a control panel with a screen, a protective grid, an interactive panel, solar battery elements, LTE/GSM modules, a panoramic camera, a nozzle for spraying gas mixture and vapor, light emitters, Wi-Fi module, mounting for municipal lamp posts. The invention provides increased device characteristics for luring insects due to the complex interaction of all attractive components, as well as improving the performance of the device.
Carbon dioxide underwater delivery device and supplementation system
A delivery device and system to supplement CO.sub.2 in an underwater environment without the need for electricity or the use of compressed CO.sub.2. The device consists of a container containing a biological organism such as mycelium and including an exit portal for CO.sub.2 to enter the underwater environment. The device may also incorporate a separation device to delay and control the flow of CO.sub.2. The system requires the device to be held in place through a securing point in the underwater environment. The minimum requirements for the device are described, but in certain instances it will be preferably used with a double-bag or an outer shell housing to protect or aesthetically conceal the placement underwater. The use of this device and system to supplement carbon dioxide in water will span many industries and applications. It will assist with mosquito trapping. It will also supplement CO.sub.2 in underwater growing environments.
Arthropod prevention footwear mat assembly
A footwear mat assembly for preventing arthropods from entering footwear stored thereon includes a base including a base top surface including a footwear storage location adapted to receive a pair of footwear, and a raised barrier including a barrier bottom surface adhesively and removably secured to the base top surface, a barrier top surface carrying an arthropod-securing adhesive composition layer, and a barrier inner perimeter defining an opening adapted to receive the pair of footwear therethrough for placement on the footwear storage location.
Complex mosquito trap for outdoor spaces
The invention relates to a complex mosquito trap for outdoor spaces which comprises a plurality of individual traps in an array supplied with CO2, comprising in combination a distance between each individual adjacent trap that does not exceed 12 metres, a CO2 flow rate in each individual trap greater than 0.5 g/h per metre of distance between adjacent traps, and the presence of a centralised flow controller and a flow limiter in each trap.
