Recording-medium ejecting device and image forming apparatus
A recording-medium ejecting device includes a first rotating member that rotates and a second rotating member that faces the first rotating member and that is rotated by rotation of the first rotating member. At least one of the first rotating member or the second rotating member is provided with projections and recesses at both ends thereof. The projections and recesses are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction. The projections extend continuously from a rotating member body in an axial direction and have a diameter greater than that of the rotating member body. The recesses extend continuously from the rotating member body in the axial direction and have a diameter smaller than that of the rotating member body. The projections at one end of the rotating member body and the projections at the other end of the rotating member body are at the same positions in a circumferential direction.
MEDIA-SHEET STACKING SYSTEMS
A media-sheet stacking system (10) for stacking media sheets on a device output tray (OT) comprises a kicker (25) to advance a media sheet along the output tray by pushing a trailing edge of the media sheet as it exits the device, and a movable element (32a) arranged to face the output tray across a space that receives media sheets exiting the device. A drive mechanism (33) is provided to drive the movable element in the direction of advance of the media sheet along the output tray.
HANDOFF MECHANISM FOR A MEDIA PRODUCTION APPARATUS
A handoff mechanism for use with a media stacker of a media production apparatus comprises a plurality of kicker units (101) arranged across a width of the handoff mechanism. A common drive mechanism (103) is provided to move the plurality of kicker units (101) between a closed position and an open position. Each kicker unit (101), when in the closed position during use, applies a pressure to any media sheets that are already stacked in a stacker tray (105) while a new media sheet is being fed to the stacker tray. The pressure provided by each kicker unit (101) is independent of the pressure provided by the other kicker units.

STORAGE UNIT FOR BLANKS AND RELATED METHOD
A blanks storage unit for storing a stack of blanks includes: inlet and outlet sections of the blanks; a feed device having a support device to restingly receive the blanks of the stack of blanks; and a feed element for moving the blanks along a feed trajectory from the inlet section towards the outlet section. The unit also includes a guide device. At least one of the support device or the guide device is movable with respect to the other along a lifting trajectory between a transport configuration, in which said support device defines in the section a feed plane of the blanks and the blanks rest on the support device, and a sliding configuration in which the guide device is at least partially lifted with respect to the support device and the blanks rest on the guide device to be guided, sliding along the section towards the outlet.
