Card for cleaning printed media transport system and method of using same
A system for cleaning a media transport device includes a cleaning substrate sized and configured to fit within at least a portion of a media travel pathway of the transport device. The cleaning substrate includes a cleaning face and a locking member that secures the cleaning substrate in a substantially fixed position within the transport device while the transport device is operated. The cleaning substrate also may include scarifying holes that scrape debris from media conveyors of the transport device, and flaps that fit under and clean belts of the transport device. Cleaning the transport device may include opening a section, positioning the cleaning substrate in the section without operating the media conveyors' motor, closing the section and then operating the transport device so that the media conveyors move, contact the cleaning substrate and are cleaned while the cleaning substrate remains substantially fixed within the transport device.
CUTTING DEVICE AND LABEL PRINTER
A cutting device includes a fixed blade and a movable blade that slides past the fixed blade during cutting, and a cleaning tool with an adhesive removing element that comes into contact with a surface of the movable blade that faces the fixed blade during the cutting.
Sheet conveying device and image forming apparatus including the same
In a sheet conveying device, a foreign substance separating unit has an air discharge chamber, foreign substance collection chamber, air introduction chamber, a plurality of first air vents formed in a first partition wall that partitions the air introduction chamber and the foreign substance collection chamber, a plurality of second air vents formed in a second partition wall that partitions the air introduction chamber and the air discharge chamber, centrifugal separation parts each including a reverse truncated cone-like wall portion extending downward from each of the first air vents, cylindrical parts that each are provided coaxially with each of the centrifugal separation parts, and an inclination surface portion that is formed around each of the cylindrical parts above each of the first air vents and is inclined in a circumferential direction.
Transport device and recording device
A transport device includes a transporting belt having a support face configured to support a medium and configured to transport the medium, a device main body in which the transporting belt is provided, and a cleaning unit configured to clean the support face with a liquid. The cleaning unit includes a storage unit in which the liquid is stored, a flow path member through which the liquid discharged from the storage unit and returned to the storage unit passes, and a filter unit detachably provided to the flow path member. Here, the filter unit is configured to be pulled out in a direction away from the device main body.
CLEANABLE SHEET FEEDER
A sheet feeder especially designed for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries is constructed in a hygienic manner and with suitable materials to permit rapid and effective cleaning and sanitizing thereof. Flexible, liquid impermeable bellows are mounted to the feeder housings in surrounding relation to the apertures through which the machine's several rotary shafts enter the housings. The bellows support bearing isolators that not only seal the housings from fluid entry, but because the bellows can flex, they also permit shaft spacings to be adjusted to adapt the machine to sheets of differing thicknesses and to set infeed belt tension. The sheet feeder's product input hopper and its discharge conveyor are designed to be easily detachable for cleaning in a dipping mode.
PAPER SHEET PROCESSING SYSTEM AND PAPER SHEET PROCESSING METHOD
According to one embodiment, a paper sheet processing system includes a paper sheet processing apparatus which includes an inspection device, a reject device, and a first communication module, and a robot device which includes a robot arm and a second communication module. The reject device rejects a rejected paper sheet and a batch card to a rejecting port. When the batch card is detected, the first communication module transmits a predetermined signal to the robot device. Upon receiving the predetermined signal, the robot device takes the rejected paper sheet and the batch card out of the rejecting port by the robot arm, moves them to another storage section, and transmits a move completion signal to the paper sheet processing apparatus.
ROLLER CLEANING MECHANISM AND IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS THEREWITH
A roller cleaning mechanism includes a cleaning member making contact with a conveying roller, a holder holding the cleaning member, a housing for the holder, and an urging member. The holder is supported on the housing swingably about a swing shaft parallel to the axial direction of a driving roller. The urging member urges the holder oppositely to the rotation direction of the conveying roller. When the conveying roller rotates, its rotative driving force keeps the holder at a cleaning position where a cleaning face of the cleaning member makes contact with the outer circumferential face of the conveying roller. When the conveying roller is halted, the urging force of the urging member keeps the holder at a retracted position where a part of the cleaning member different from the cleaning face makes contact with the outer circumferential face of the conveying roller.
Conveyor having opposed upper and lower decks and laterally shiftable lower deck
A conveyor configured to transport sheets along a transport path from an input end to a discharge end includes a main frame, an upper conveyor deck supported by the main frame and having a plurality of belts and a lower conveyor deck supported by the main frame and having a plurality of wheels. The transport path is defined by the contact surfaces of the plurality of belts in the first contact region and the contact surfaces of the plurality of wheels in the second contact region, and the conveyor is configured such that the sheets make direct contact with the contact surfaces of the plurality of belts and make direct contact with the contact surfaces of the plurality of wheels when the sheets move along the transport path. The wheels are shiftable in the third direction relative to the belts and relative to the main frame.
Conveyor having opposed upper and lower decks
A conveyor includes a first conveyor deck having a first plurality of contact elements, each having a contact surface movable around a closed path from a contact region to a non-contact region, the first contact regions lying in a plane or being bounded by the plane and a second conveyor deck having a second plurality of contact elements, each having a contact surface movable around a closed path from a contact region to a non-contact region, these contact regions lying in a second plane or being bounded by the second plane. The transport path of the conveyor is defined by the contact surfaces of the first and second contact elements in the contact regions, and the first plurality of contact elements are belts and the second plurality of contact elements are wheels.
