INSECT TRAP UTILIZING UV LIGHT AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

An insect trap useful for trapping flying insects, the insect trap comprising an upper housing including at least one horizontal row of light emitting diodes extending across an outer surface of a curved front wall such that light from each of the light emitting diodes is projected outwardly from the upper housing at a different angle than adjacent light emitting diodes in the horizontal row of light emitting diodes, a base housing including an opening through which insects can enter an interior of the base housing, and an insect trapping element facing the opening in the base housing.

Lighted Insect Trap

A lighted insect trap having a main body that is coupleable to a power source. A cover is couplable to the main body, either removably, moveably, or fixedly. A plurality of opposing arms extend upward from the main body, the opposing arms being configured to receive a card between the opposing arms. A card having an adhesive layer is disposed between the opposing arms. A light source is disposed about the main body and is configured to propagate light about the plurality of arms.

Pest control lighting device

A pest control lighting device having a connector capable of electrically connecting to a common lightbulb socket or electrical outlet. The pest control lighting device includes one or more light sources in electrical connection with the connector. The pest control lighting device may include an inner module capable of holding one or more pest control materials, such as an insect repellent. The pest control lighting device may further include sound emitting components that may be capable of emitting an ultrasonic sound.

LED INSECT LIGHT TRAP WITH LIGHT TRANSMISSIVE GLUE BOARD

Insect capture is improved by providing a glue board having an adhesive coating on its front surface and forming a pattern of insect attractant UV light on that front surface. That pattern includes areas of bright UV light generated by light-emitting diodes that generate light at different wavelengths behind and visible through the glue board by flying insects, dimmer areas of light generated by said light emitting diodes that bounces off other portions of the device onto the glue board, and areas of shadow on the glue board where no or little light from said light-emitting diodes is present.

A system may include a trap and a consumable. The trap may include a data capture mechanism configured to capture data and send the data to a system operator. The consumable may include a device having an associated electronic identification code. A status-determining mechanism may be configured to determine a status of the consumable, which status may be readable via the data capture mechanism. The consumable may include a sensor configured to detect flying insects via mutual capacitance sensing. The sensor may be configured to provide a directional fringe field responsive to a flying insect. The sensor may include a plurality of sensor triplets arranged in a grid array. Each sensor triplet may include a sensor conductor and two electrically conductive un-grounded conductors. The two un-grounded conductors may be disposed one on either side of the sensor conductor to form the sensor triplet.

PEST SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM

A pest surveillance system comprising at least one pest monitoring apparatus and a main server is provided. The pest monitoring apparatus comprises an image capturing device, an environmental status sensing device, a controller and a network transmitter. The at least one pest monitoring apparatus is disposed in at least one space. The image capturing device is used for capturing an image of a pest catcher and generating an original image. The environmental status sensing device is used for detecting environmental status and generating an environmental parameter. The network transmitter is coupled to a network. The main server is connected to the network and receives the at least one original image and the at least one environmental parameter. An image processor of the main server calculates each original image according to each environmental parameter and generates a pest status data.

Solar Powered LED Fly Trap
