An insect trap device includes a housing, a sticky board, and at least one LED light bar. The housing is formed with a plurality of holes. The sticky board is arranged on a bottom of the housing. The sticky board has a surface coated with insect sticking glue. The at least one LED light bar is arranged in an interior of the housing to form indirect lighting and emit a wavelength of insect luring light. As such, the at least one LED light bar emits light that attracts insects to enter through the plurality of holes of the housing to get stuck to the sticky board.

The invention relates to an insect trap (10) and more particularly to an insect trap which has been designed to facilitate simple and efficient servicing, maintenance and cleaning. In a first aspect the trap comprises a. a back housing (12); b. a frame (14) swing mounted to said housing; and c. a cover (16) comprising openings (18) allowing insects to enter the trap and the frame supports one or a plurality of lights (22) such that said frame and lights can be moved from a first position where they overlie the back housing, to a second position where they lie clear of the back housing such that an insect catching means (100) which may be fitted over the back housing is readily accessible for replacement during servicing. In another aspect the trap comprises a. a back housing (12); b. a plurality of lights (22); and c. a cover (16) and the trap is adapted for ease of servicing and jet cleaning by the provision of shields (60) each of which sealably protect, from water ingress, a plurality of lights (22) at the positions where they connect to electrical fittings (24). In yet another aspect there is provided an insect capture means (100) with a general capture surface (102) and a separate surface (104) designed to facilitate record keeping.

The invention relates to an insect trap and more particularly to an insect trap which has been designed to facilitate the destruction of micro-organisms thereby countering odours and mitigating against the spread of germs. The trap may comprise a. a housing; b. a cover; c. one or a plurality of insect attracting lights; and d. an insect catching device and further includes a radiation emitting device such as a UVC lamp which emits radiation and is capable of destroying air-borne pathogens. The insect attractant lights heat the air which is convected and an air flow may be facilitated by louvered openings in the cover and an opening in the top of the trap so that the air flow circulates across the UVC lamp where the micro-organisms are killed.

An insect trap device and methods of using the device are described herein. In some embodiments, an insect trap includes a light source, a removable enclosure with at least one opening, an adhesive surface at least partially within the enclosure, and optics to redirect light from the light source onto an adhesive trapping surface. The light source may include at least one light emitting diode (LED). The optics may be attached to the removable enclosure, and may be located at least partially within the enclosure. The optics may include optical enhancers such as a reflector, a lens and/or a diffuser. The insect trap may further include an insect attractant that emits sound or scent.

An improved fly trap in the form of a sign that can attract and trap flies before they enter an establishment or once the flies are inside of an establishment. The fly trap uses an attractive element in the form of a plurality of LED lights, preferably blue LED lights, to coax flies to enter the sign. Adjacent the LED lights is a roller on which adhesive paper, or fly paper, is mounted. Flies that land on the fly paper are captured, and when the paper is full or need to be changed, the roller is actuated to present fresh fly paper.
