DEFECT INSPECTION METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEPARATOR ROLL
To carry out accurate defect inspection over a wide area, a defect inspection device includes: a radiation source section configured to emit an electromagnetic wave to a separator roll; and a sensor section configured to detect the electromagnetic wave that the radiation source section has emitted to the separator roll, the sensor section being configured to detect the electromagnetic wave before and after the separator roll is moved relative to the radiation source section.
IMAGE INSPECTION DEVICE
An image inspection device has a first suction conveyance unit which is arranged on the upstream side with a conveyance surface as an upper surface, a second suction conveyance unit which is arranged on the downstream side with a conveyance surface as a lower surface to make the conveyance surface continuous from the upstream side, a first inspection section which inspects an image on a front surface of an inspection object which is conveyed to the first suction conveyance unit and a second inspection section which inspects an image on a back surface of the inspection object which is conveyed to the second suction conveyance unit. The inspection object is conveyed in a state of being sucked and held on the first and second suction conveyance units and therefore is stable in position and posture in conveyance and an expected accuracy is maintained in inspection performed by the first and second inspection sections.
CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND IMAGE INSPECTION DEVICE
A hanging prevention roller is installed between a first suction conveyance unit on an upstream side and a second suction conveyance unit. When an inspection object is sent from the first suction conveyance unit into the second suction conveyance unit, a top edge of the inspection object abuts on and runs on the hanging prevention roller before the top edge of the inspection objects hangs down under its own weight or due to downward curling and so forth, the top edge is sandwiched between the roller and the second suction conveyance unit, and thereby stable suction conveyance is started without delay.
METHOD AND APPARATUS OF MEASURING PROPERTIES OF A MOVING SHEET
A method of measuring properties of a moving cellulose, paper or board sheet. A first parameter of a first resonance caused by the moving sheet in a frequency range 1 GHz to 25 GHz of electromagnetic radiation is measured. A second parameter of an electromagnetic signal transmitted between at least a pair of transceiver parts of a transceiver sensor located on opposite sides of the moving sheet through the moving sheet is measured in a frequency range 25 GHz to 1000 GHz. A minimum difference between the frequency ranges related to the first parameter and the second parameter being at least 5 GHz. Both the dry stuff content and the weight of water per unit of area are determined on the basis of the first parameter, the second parameter and available information related to a distance travelled by the electromagnetic signal.
Printing apparatus, inspection apparatus, and method of controlling the inspection apparatus in which a fixing unit fixes a relative position between a detection surface of a reading unit and a print medium
A printing apparatus includes a reading unit, having a detection surface, that reads an image on a print medium, and a fixing unit that fixes a relative position between the detection surface and the print medium in one of a first state, in which the detection surface is in contact with the print medium, and a second state, in which the detection surface is not in contact with the print medium. A control unit stops conveyance and fixes the relative position between the detection surface and the print medium to the first state, using the fixing unit, in a case in which the reading unit reads the image, and changes the relative position between the detection surface and the print medium from the first state to the second state, using the fixing unit, and resumes conveyance after image reading by the reading unit is complete.
METHOD OF PREDICTIVE DETECTION OF DEFECTS IN ABSORBENT SANITARY ARTICLES
A production line of absorbent sanitary articles and method of predictive detection of defects of absorbent sanitary articles, wherein it is provided to: detect current values of operating parameters which are indicative of the current operation of at least one production device adapted to perform respective production operations on the absorbent sanitary articles being processed along the production line; perform a comparison between the current values of the detected operating parameters and respective predetermined reference values; in the presence of at least one anomalous operating parameter that does not comply with the respective predetermined reference values, identify, among a plurality of possible malfunctioning causes of the line, at least one current malfunctioning cause responsible for the at least one anomalous operating parameter; and make a prediction of any defects in the absorbent sanitary articles being processed along the line starting from the at least one current malfunctioning cause identified.
MACHINE FOR CONTROLLING THE SHAPE OF A REEL OF WEB PRODUCT
Machine for controlling the shape of a reel of web product, comprising a pick-up zone for at least one reel to be evaluated, a moving apparatus of said at least one reel from said pick-up zone to an unloading zone, and an evaluation apparatus of at least the outer diameter of the reel, configured to act between said pick-up zone and said unloading zone.
QUALITY CONTROL STATION WITH CAMERA CALIBRATION SYSTEM FOR SHEET ELEMENT PROCESSING MACHINE
A quality control station (2) for a sheet element processing machine, the station having at least one camera (6) arranged for capturing images of sheet elements (4) transported through the quality control station (2), and further having a camera calibration system (10). The camera calibration system (10) having a target holder (12) for holding an optical target (14), and a drive (15) for the target holder (12). The drive (15) is adapted for displacing the target holder (12) between a rest position, in which it is outside of the viewing area (7) of the camera (6), and a calibration position in which it is arranged in the viewing area (7) of the camera (6).
Packaging material quality compensation
A method, apparatus and program product may utilize packaging material quality compensation to sense changes in certain characteristics of a packaging material that can be associated with increased risks of film breaks, and automatically make certain changes in machine settings to mitigate the impact of those enhanced risks.
Machine for testing extensible plastic films for packaging
A testing machine to perform measurements and/or tests on a plastic film comprises a basic structure provided with a supporting plane, an unwinding station provided with an unwinding roller that supports a reel of film, a pre-stretching station arranged to unwind and to pre-stretch the film from the reel. The testing machine further comprises a wrapping station provided with a testing drum to be wrapped by the film coming out from the pre-stretching station, a plurality of measuring groups to perform measurements of dimensional and/or physical parameters of the reel and of the film, and a plurality of testing groups to perform respective tests and measurements on the film in order to determine mechanical and physical properties thereof.
