A sheet storage device for storing sheets includes a supporting unit, a regulation unit, and a moving unit. The supporting unit supports stored sheets. The regulation unit is movably arranged on the supporting unit, and regulates a position of an edge portion of a sheet. The moving unit moves the regulation unit. The moving unit includes moving members to move in a direction parallel to a moving direction of the regulation unit. The moving members are moved by rotation of a rotation member in a case where the rotation member is in contact with the moving members. In a case where a fixing member attached to the sheet storage device in place of the rotation member, movement of the moving members is regulated by placing the moving members into contact with the fixing member.
SHEET DETECTION DEVICE AND DETECTION METHOD THEREOF
A sheet detection device includes: a magnetic sensing element disposed on a sheet guide, wherein the sheet guide brings the magnetic sensing element to move to a first position or a second position; a first magnetic element disposed on a sheet tray corresponding to the first position; a second magnetic element disposed on the sheet tray corresponding to the second position and in spaced with the first magnetic element; a processing element electrically connected with the magnetic sensing element. When the magnetic sensing element outputs a first voltage signal, the processing element determines the sheet guide is located at the first position according to the first voltage signal. When the magnetic sensing element outputs a second voltage signal, the processing element determines the sheet guide is located at the second position according to the second voltage signal. The first voltage signal is different from the second voltage signal.
Sheet storage cassette and image forming apparatus including same
A sheet storage cassette of the present disclosure includes a sheet storage portion, a rack and a cursor. The cursor aligns sheets. The cursor includes a regulation portion which makes contact with the side ends of the sheets and a lock portion which includes at least one engagement protrusion that engages with the rack teeth of the rack. The at least one engagement protrusion each includes a second inclination surface which is inclined from a tip end portion toward a base portion in a second direction opposite to a first direction. At least one of the engagement protrusions includes a second vertical surface which is extended vertically downward from the base portion toward the tip end portion. At least one of the engagement protrusions includes a third inclination surface which is inclined in the second direction and which is extended to the tip end portion of the engagement protrusion.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus, having a body with a container compartment, a cover, a pair of supporting parts, a locking member, and an engaging portion, is provided. The pair of supporting parts support the roll along a first direction. At least one of the pair of supporting parts is movable in the first direction. The locking member is arranged on the movable supporting part and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The engaging portion in the container compartment is engageable with the locking member being located at the locked position. The locking member at the unlocked position under the condition where the cover is open is separated from the engaging portion. The locking member contacts the cover and shifts from the unlocked position to the locked position to be engaged with the engaging portion in a process where the cover being open is moved to be closed.
MEDIA GUIDES
An example system includes an advancement mechanism to drive print media into a stacking region, a movable media guide arrangement and a controller. The movable media guide arrangement includes a pair of opposing media guides to receive opposing edges of a print medium therein and a translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides between at least two positions, the at least two positions including a deployed position and a retracted position. The controller is to actuate the translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides into the deployed position when the advancement mechanism transports a print medium into the stacking region and to actuate the translation mechanism to move the opposing media guides to the retracted position to release the print medium.
PRINTER
A printer includes: a container configured to contain a roll into which a belt-shaped print medium is wound, the roll being inserted through an opening; a guide configured to guide the roll, the guide being disposed in the container and having a pair of abutting faces that abut on both side faces of the roll; a holding part that is movable between a first position where the holding part protrudes inwardly from the abutting face and a second position where the holding part does not protrude inwardly from the abutting face, the holding part being biased from the second position to the first position and holding the roll rotatably at the first position; and a displacement part configured to be displaced with motion of the holding part. At least a portion of the displacement part is exposed when a user sees the displacement part through the opening, such that the displacement part is recognizably displaced in a different position depending on whether the holding part is at the first position or at the second position.
SHEET STORAGE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
There is provided a sheet storage device including a regulation unit that includes a first contact portion configured to contact a stacking unit, and a second contact portion configured to contact a facing member. The first contact portion contacts the stacking unit in a state of being urged toward the stacking unit. The second contact portion contacts the facing member in a state of being urged toward the facing member.
Media roll holder
In one example, a holder for a media roll includes a first support to support a first end of the roll, a second support to support a second end of the roll, and a shifter to change the distance between the first support and the first end of the roll without changing the distance between the second support and the second end of the roll.
Feeding device
A feeding device to transport a recording medium includes a main body having a drive source, a tray that is rotatably attached to the main body and on which the recording medium is to be loaded, a handling mechanism provided on the tray, an operation arm portion attached to the main body, and an operation lever provided on the tray so as to face the operation arm portion. The handling mechanism handles the recording medium. The operation arm portion moves in one direction along a rotation axis of the tray by a driving force from the drive source. The operation arm portion moves in the one direction so that the operation arm portion abuts on the operation lever and transmits the driving force to the operation lever so that the operation lever is pushed. The driving force received by the pushed operation lever is transmitted to the handling mechanism.
