IMAGING SYSTEM
An imaging system includes a steering roller and a positioning mechanism. The steering roller extends along a longitudinal direction, and being tiltable about a fulcrum to adjust an alignment position of an endless belt. The positioning mechanism is coupled to the steering roller, to position an adjustable position of the fulcrum of the steering roller, along the longitudinal direction of the steering roller. The positioning mechanism includes a guide that extends along the longitudinal direction of the steering roller, and a protrusion that engages with the guide, and that is located at the adjustable position of the fulcrum.
BELT DRIVING DEVICE WITH STEERING ROLLER
An imaging system comprises a pair of belt rollers to drive an endless belt along a belt path, the pair of belt rollers comprising a first roller and a second roller. A steering roller is located between the first roller and the second roller. The steering roller is tiltable to engage the endless belt. A wheel is located at an end of the first roller in abutment with an edge of the endless belt, to move along a rotation axis of the first roller, in an outward direction, when the endless belt shifts toward the wheel. A link mechanism transfers a movement of the wheel in the outward direction, to a tilting of the steering roller, in order to urge the endless belt to shift away from the wheel toward the belt path.

A sheet conveying device includes a sheet supporting portion, a first lever pivotable by contact with a sheet supported by the sheet supporting portion, a hook movable together with the first lever, a first cam configured to, when engaging the hook, stop rotating in a rotation direction of the first cam, a spring configured to urge the first cam in a rotation direction, a sector gear rotatable together with the first cam, a drive gear configured to, when engaging the sector gear, transmit a drive force to the sector gear, a feed roller rotatable in contact with the sheet, and a drive mechanism configured to receive a drive force from the sector gear and move one of the feed roller and the sheet supporting portion toward the other of the feed roller and the sheet supporting portion, to increase contact pressure between the feed roller and the sheet.
Sheet accommodating device and image forming apparatus including the same
A sheet accommodating device includes a regulating member that regulates end portions of sheets and a moving member movably provided in a body of the sheet accommodating device. The regulating member is detachably provided on the moving member. A moving region of the moving member includes a size regulation region where the end portions of the sheets are regulated and a predetermined non-size regulation region excluding the size regulation region. The sheet accommodating device is configured to permit the regulating member to be attached to and detached from the moving member in a predetermined attaching and detaching position of the non-size regulation region and prohibit the regulating member from being detached from the moving member in a detachment prohibition region of the moving region excluding the attaching and detaching position.
Sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding apparatus includes an abutment part having an abutment area against which a leading edge of a sheet abuts and a moving part to move the abutment part between first and second positions. The moving part includes a link member having an engage portion to engage with a positioning portion, the link member being joined with the abutment part, and an urging member to urge the link member such that the abutment part moves toward the second position. The abutment part is retained at the first position against an urging force of the urging member in a case where the positioning portion is engaged with the engage portion of the link member.

The apparatus comprises at least one clamp member to apply a clamp force to a bunch of media items located between a support surface and said clamp member, wherein said clamp member is selectively moveable towards or away from said support surface to apply a predetermined clamp force to the bunch of media items.

A sheet conveyor includes a tray and a body supporting the tray. The tray is pivotable about a first shaft between a first position at which a free end of the tray is located above its basal end and a second position at which the free end is located farther from the body than at the first position. The tray is slidable between the second position and a third position and pivotable about a second shaft between the third position and a fourth position at which the free end is located farther from the body than at the third position. The first shaft protrudes from one of the tray and the body toward the other. The second shaft protrudes from the other to the one. The other includes a first guide that guides the first shaft. The one includes a second guide that guides the second shaft.

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a cassette body supporting a sheet, a regulation device disposed on the cassette body in a moving direction and regulating a position of an edge of the sheet, and a plurality of engaged portions disposed on the cassette body. The regulation device includes a body portion, an engaging portion moving between an engagement position at which the engaging portion engages with one of the engaged portions and a separation position at which the engaging portion is separated from the engaged portions, an operation member pivotably supported on the body portion and operated between a first posture at which the operation member positions the engaging portion at the engagement position and a second posture at which the operation member positions the engaging portion at the separation position, and a retention portion retaining the operation member at the first posture.
