The regulating member is detachably provided on the moving member. A moving region of the moving member includes a size regulation region where the end portions of the sheets are regulated and a predetermined non-size regulation region excluding the size regulation region. The sheet accommodating device is configured to permit the regulating member to be attached to and detached from the moving member in a predetermined attaching and detaching position of the non-size regulation region and prohibit the regulating member from being detached from the moving member in a detachment prohibition region of the moving region excluding the attaching and detaching position.

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a supporting portion to support a sheet, and a regulation unit to regulate a position of an edge of the supported sheet. The regulation unit includes a body portion, an engagement portion to move between an engagement position at which the engagement portion engages with the supporting portion and a separation position at which the engagement portion is separated away from the supporting portion, and an operation portion to move the engagement portion between the engagement position and the separation position. The operation portion is pivotably supported by the body portion and includes a pressing portion to press the engagement portion from the engagement position to the separation position by the operation portion being pivoted. In addition, a fixing component fixes the operation portion to be immovable with respect to the body portion so as to retain the engagement portion at the engagement position.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a stacking part, a feeding part, a separation part, an abutment part comprising an abutment area, the abutment part being configured to move between a first position and a second position, a transmission part comprising a rotary member and configured to transmit driving power from a driving source to the feeding part via the rotary member, the rotary member being configured to be stopped every one rotation, and a moving part configured to move the abutment part in response to rotation of the rotary member such that (1) the abutment part positions at the first position in a case where the rotary member is stopped, and (2) the abutment part moves from the first position to the second position and from the second position to the first position while the rotary member makes one rotation.
