A sheet post-processing apparatus that performs post-processing on a sheet on which an image is formed includes: a punch hole forming portion; and a sheet bundle forming portion that has a conveyance portion, stops a first sheet on a conveyance path, and conveys a second sheet after the first sheet to a position overlapping the first sheet to form a sheet bundle. The sheet post-processing apparatus includes a shift portion to make a shift so that a relative position between the first sheet and the second sheet in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction becomes a relative position at which the second sheet does not overlap a punch hole of the first sheet to make the second sheet overlap the first sheet, and forms a sheet bundle in which sheets overlapped with each other are deviated in a width direction.

A sheet separation device includes a sheet separator and a conveyor. A sheet processing device includes a first conveyance passage, a first conveyor, a second conveyor, a folder, a second conveyance passage, and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to (1) cause the first conveyor and the second conveyor to convey the sheet nipping the sheet to warp the sheet between the first conveyor and the second conveyor, (2) guide the warped sheet to form a first fold on the sheet by the folder and circulate the sheet to the first conveyance passage, (3) cause the first conveyor and the second conveyor to convey the sheet while nipping the sheet again to warp the sheet between the first conveyor and the second conveyor, (4) guide the warped sheet to form a second fold on the sheet by the folder, and (5) cause the second conveyor to convey the sheet with the first fold and the second fold.

The invention relates to a winding machine for winding material webs, in particular foils or films, wherein the winding machine comprises a feeder system with a first belt feeder which, during the winding of the material web around a winding core in a first direction, wraps itself at least partially around the material web. The feeder system comprises a second belt feeder which is suitable for winding the material web in a second direction around the winding core.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A WEB IN A PRINTING APPARATUS
A method is provided for controlling a web in a printing apparatus The printing apparatus includes a transport assembly for moving the web through a transport path along a printing unit for printing an image onto a print area of the web. The method includes feeding the web from a supply roll through the transport path to the transport assembly; and switching the printing apparatus to a ready-to-print mode, wherein the printing unit does not print an image on the web and the web is maintained ready to be printed on. In a printing mode after the ready-to print mode, the following steps are performed: moving the web through the transport path in a transport direction along the printing unit by the transport assembly; and printing the image onto the print area of the web by the printing unit. The image is printed by applying an image material, which solidifies on the web during the printing step. The ready-to-print mode includes the step of: operating the transport assembly to prevent a deformation of the print area of the web in the transport path, while maintaining the web in the ready-to-print mode. The web is maintained ready to print while preventing a deformation of the print area of the web in the transport path.

A sheet folding device, which is included in an image forming system and uses a sheet folding method, includes first and second drive motors, a first sheet conveyor driven by the first drive motor and configured to receive and convey a sheet toward a downstream side of a sheet conveying direction, a second sheet conveyor driven by the second drive motor and configured to receive the sheet conveyed from the first sheet conveyor and to convey the sheet to the downstream side of the sheet conveying direction, and a controller configured to fold the sheet to a predetermined folding length set according to an amount of conveyance of the sheet by the second sheet conveyor while the sheet is being held between the first and second sheet conveyors, and to perform a feedback control with an integral gain to the second drive motor.
