AQUATIC ORGANISM TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
An apparatus and the associated method which includes means for controlling an invasive organism. The means including a trolling apparatus, for attachment to an associated vehicle. The trolling apparatus is pulled through a body of water in response to movement of the associated vehicle. The housing carries a plurality of UV-C light sources for producing UV-C light at a wavelength of substantially 254 nm, whereby invasive organisms proximate to light emanating from at least one of said UV-C light source whereby invasive organisms are exposed to UV-C light at a wavelength of substantially 254 nm resulting in controlling an invasive organism. Other embodiments, attract organisms such as mosquitos and then expose them to UV-C light. The invention facilitates reduced use of herbicide.
Induction system for crowd monitoring
A system for monitoring an area includes a processor and an electromagnetic radiation source in communication with the processor. The electromagnetic radiation source is configured to emit radiation to heat a metallic object that is in or carried by a target. The system also includes an array of temperature sensors in communication with the processor, where the array of temperature sensors is configured to detect a first temperature associated with the target and a second temperature associated with the target. The first temperature is detected prior to emission of the radiation and the second temperature is detected subsequent to emission of the radiation. The processor is also configured to determine whether to trigger an alert based at least in part on a difference between the first temperature and the second temperature.
INDUCTION SYSTEM FOR PRODUCT AUTHENTICATION
A method of verifying product authenticity includes emitting, by an electromagnetic radiation source in communication with a processor, radiation to heat one or more pieces of ferromagnetic material in or on a product. The method also includes detecting, by a heat sensor in communication with the processor, heat emitted from the one or more pieces of ferromagnetic material that are in or on the product. The method further includes determining, by the processor, if the product is counterfeit based on the detected heat.
Photonic fence
A system for tracking airborne organisms includes an imager, a backlight source (such as a retroreflective surface) in view of the imager, and a processor configured to analyze one or more images captured by the processor to identify a biological property of an organism.

Pearl-Away
A convenient effective means is provided to eliminate the lawn pest known as ground pearl (Margarodes spp), a subterranean member of the scale family, that is immune to chemical lawn treatment applications.
This, electrically equipped, hand propelled, device is simply pushed back forth over and around on the turf areas where pearl damage is evident. The design's 4 caster wheels provide an independently sprung suspension permitting close ground clearance during operation insuring full personal safety when used properly.
The design utilizes a magnetron to provide high frequency electromagnet wave energy that is fully confined and directed only strait down into the earth via a one wave length long strait wave guide that maximizes the E field at ground level. From there the wave radiates into the earth hemi spherically with the familiar strength loss as the square of the distance. Fortunately, pearl live close to the surface where they are vulnerable.
The microwave frequency band used is not high enough to be an ionization radiation threat to people or pets. It can however lethally damage the subject organism by agitating the pearl's internal water molecules despite its protective covering.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLASSIFYING FLYING INSECTS
Systems, apparatuses, and methods of classifying flying insects. The methods utilize recording the wingbeat frequency and amplitude spectrum of flying insects and comparing them to known or created insect models to properly classify the flying insect. The error rate of the classification is reduced by utilizing multiple inputs to the classification system, which may include a precise circadian rhythm for the time of year, current environmental conditions, and flight velocity or direction.
OBJECT IMAGE RECOGNITION AND INSTANT ACTIVE RESPONSE WITH ENHANCED APPLICATION AND UTILITY
A device for detecting offending features on individual granular objects or small objects. The device uses an image capturing system to scan batches of granular or small objects such as wheat, grain, rice, seeds, legumes or nuts to detect any undesirable feature such as disease, mold or spoilage. An action head on the device is configured to automatically respond once an undesirable feature is identified. The action head may capture the individual objects having undesirable features or it may cast them aside.
Induction detector systems
A device for use in detecting metallic objects includes a processor and an electromagnetic radiation source in communication with the processor. The electromagnetic radiation source is configured to emit radiation to heat a metallic object. The device also includes a temperature sensor in communication with the processor. The temperature sensor is configured to detect heat emitted from the metallic object. The device also includes an alarm configured to notify an operator of the presence of the metallic object responsive to a determination by the processor that a temperature threshold has been exceeded.
Induction system for mold remediation
A mold remediation system includes a processor and an electromagnetic radiation source in communication with the processor. The electromagnetic radiation source is configured to emit radiation to heat a ferromagnetic material in or adjacent to a wall board upon which mold is located. The system also includes a temperature sensor in communication with the processor. The temperature sensor is configured to detect a temperature of the wall board. The processor is configured to compare the temperature of the wall board to a desired temperature to perform mold remediation.
