A system for handling sheets of flexible material. The system comprises a first roller (5.2) which comprises a plurality of first releasable connectors (3.2) and a second roller (5.3) which comprises a plurality of second releasable connectors. The system further comprises an array of third releasable connectors (2.1) which is displaceable between at least the first and second rollers (5.2, 5.3). The first, second and third releasable connectors releasably attach to a sheet of flexible material in use.

A recording apparatus includes a feeding roller, a rear feeding unit being provided on a rear side of the apparatus, and a medium reversing unit provided below a medium support section and including a reversing roller. At least a part of a rear side of the rear feeding unit forms a medium transport path in which the medium is transported by the reversing roller, the rear feeding unit includes a driven roller configured to nip the medium with the reversing roller therebetween, and at least a part of the driven roller is located in a roller accommodating space formed on a rear side of the medium support section.

A sheet conveying device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a plurality of position detectors, a leading end detector, and a position adjuster. The plurality of position detectors is configured to detect a position of a sheet. The leading end detector is configured to detect a leading end of the sheet. The position adjuster is configured to, based on a detection result obtained by the plurality of position detectors, rotate in a rotation direction of the sheet within a plane of conveyance of the sheet to change the position of the sheet the position adjuster grips the sheet under conveyance to cause the leading end detector to rotate with the position adjuster in the rotation direction of the sheet within the plane of conveyance of the sheet.

Apparatus and methods are provided for automatic edge positioning and guiding of a moving web, such as a textile fabric or carpet, onto a conveyor system comprising manufacturing operations such as sewing, for example. More in particular an apparatus is provided including mechanics, optics and control for steering and positioning the side edges of the moving web in order to correct for misalignment, and hence sewing can occur appropriately.

A reversing unit has a drive roller, a discharge roller for forming a first nip portion N1 together with the drive roller, and a conveyance roller for forming a second nip portion together with the drive roller. An image forming apparatus configured to form images on a first surface and a second surface of a sheet includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, a feed tray, and a return unit configured to return the sheet having an image formed on the first surface of the sheet toward the image forming unit. The return unit includes a first guide, a second guide, and an adjuster. The first guide is detachably attached to the second guide and includes a first roller and a positioned portion. The second guide is positioned in the apparatus body and includes a second roller facing the first roller, and a positioning portion configured to contact the positioned portion of the first guide, thereby positioning the first guide relative to the second guide. The adjuster is configured to adjust an orientation of the second guide relative to the apparatus body.
