Fixed spray application system
A fixed spray application system generally includes tubing, one or more spray heads, one or more brackets, one or more connectors and one or more fluid reservoirs. One or more of the spray heads may be suspended from a tube below one of the connectors and below one of the reservoirs. A tube may extend from below one of the reservoirs to another spray head supported by one of the brackets. In use, the system may be suspended from trellis wires in an agricultural field. Water, pesticides or other liquids are supplied to the system through the tubing. The size of the reservoirs and the volume of tubing can be selected to hold the desired amount of liquid for a given application. After the system is primed with liquid, the tubing is connected to a source of pressurized air. The air is supplied to the system at a sufficient pressure so as to force the liquid from the system through the spray heads.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WEED CONTROL WITH MICROWAVES
A method and apparatus for weed control with microwaves. The area to be treated, prior to treatment with microwaves, is treated with an aqueous solution of an organic and/or inorganic salt.
System and method for predicting wind direction and speed to better control drift
A system and method for predicting a future wind direction and speed and, based thereon, determining a future wind-driven drift and providing the information to an operator or automatically acting to adapt application parameters to better control the wind-driven drift of a fluid during application of the fluid to land or crops by an agricultural machine. A processor receives machine and meteorological data, uses a model to predict the future wind direction and speed, and accesses a drift distance database to determine and visually depict the future wind-driven drift of the fluid. A sensitive area database stores information about sensitive areas bordering the target area, which may also be displayed, to facilitate controlling the wind-driven drift with regard to the sensitive areas. The mathematical model may be a kernel filter, an autoregressive model, an autoregressive integrated moving average model, or a hybrid model which incorporates features of different models.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING STEAM ONTO AND BENEATH A FIELD SURFACE
A steam sprayer for delivering steam onto and beneath a field surface is provided. The steam sprayer comprises a support frame having a plurality of steam spraying nozzles mounted thereto and oriented substantially downwardly for spraying steam onto and beneath the field surface. At least a steam generator is connected to the steam spraying nozzles for providing steam thereto. A water heating tank is connected to each of the at least a steam generator for providing heated water at a substantially constant pressure thereto. Compressed air is provided to the water heating tank for pressurizing the water heating tank. Power is provided to the water heating tank and each of the at least a steam generator.
Device for dispersing in the air a vapor of a liquid substance
A device for dispersing in the air in the vapor state and a substance that is in the liquid state at ambient temperature, and is contained in a storage container, has a ventilation system with a duct that opens out into the open air and is configured to permit the passage of a flow of air into the duct; at least one dispensing unit is designed to be supplied with a liquid substance by the storage container, the dispensing unit having micro-ducts forming an outlet is provided in the duct in order to constitute an area of evaporation of the substance therein, and a heating unit is provided on or in the dispensing unit, such as to control a flow of the substance through the dispensing unit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SPRAYING AN AGRICULTURAL FLUID ON FOLIAGE
A system includes a plurality of nozzle assemblies connected in fluid communication with a fluid supply line, a plurality of electrically actuated valve assemblies to control fluid flow through the nozzle assemblies, and a controller communicatively connected to the valve assemblies and configured to control at least one operating parameter of each valve assembly. A portable electronic device is connected in communication with the controller, and is configured to display an image including at least a portion of the system and a target, and to receive a user input that identifies a location and/or an orientation of each of the plurality of nozzle assemblies on the image. At least one of the controller and the portable electronic device is configured to determine the at least one operating parameter based on an overlap amount between a spray path projection of each nozzle assembly and the target in the image.
APPLICATION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MOVING VEHICLE
The present invention is to provide an application and a method for controlling a moving vehicle that are capable to efficiently spray a chemical. The application for controlling a moving vehicle executed on an information terminal 100 mounted on the moving vehicle 10 acquires an image taken by the information terminal 100 in flight, analyzes the acquired image, detects a pest attached to a crop based on the result of the image analysis, acquires location information of the crop to which the detected pest is attached, and controls the moving vehicle 10 to spray a disinfestant based on the acquired location information.
Front-Boom Sprayer With A Boom Center Section And Lift Arm Arrangement For Improved Field Of View
A front-boom sprayer is provided that includes a boom center section and lift arm arrangement that provides a field of view below the boom when the boom is in a raised state that is substantially free of view obstructions from torque tube or other crosswise-extending components. The lift arm arrangement may provide different link tube geometries so that the respective left and right pairs of upper and lower lift arms align with each other in the line of sight of the in-cab operator.
IMPLEMENTS AND APPLICATION UNITS HAVING AT LEAST ONE APPLICATION MEMBER FOR PLACEMENT OF APPLICATIONS WITH RESPECT TO AGRICULTURAL PLANTS OF AGRICULTURAL FIELDS
Described herein are implements and applicators for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, a fluid applicator for applying fluids to plants in rows in a field includes a frame, a coulter connected to the frame and disposed to open a trench between the rows of plants, and at least one application member connected to the frame or to the coulter and disposed to apply fluid to a rhizosphere of the plants.
