The fertilizer applicator comprises a coulter, a knife, or a coulter and a knife, and a trench closer disposed behind the fertilizer applicator in the direction of travel and connected to the fertilizer applicator or the bar.

A vehicle system with spray control is disclosed. The vehicle system includes a vehicle, a self-propelled platform, a dispenser, and a controller. The vehicle includes a first rail and a second rail. The self-propelled platform includes a first wheel assembly, a second wheel assembly, and a coupling device. The first and second wheel assemblies are configured to engage the first and second rails, respectively, to advance the self-propelled platform relative to the vehicle. The coupling device is centrally positioned on a floor of the self-propelled platform, and the coupling device is configured to receive the dispenser. The dispenser is configured to dispense a composition onto at least a portion of an environmental feature adjacent to the vehicle. The controller is configured to operate one or more of the vehicle, the self-propelled platform, or the dispenser based at least in part on environmental information.

A method of using a system to apply liquid over a selected area includes providing a source of liquid, a first tube for transporting liquid from the source through the system, a connector, a check valve and a spray device. The connector includes a projection extending into the first tube. The projection has an inlet in fluid communication with the first tube. The connector further includes an outlet and a passageway in fluid communication with the inlet of the projection and the outlet of the connector. The check valve has an inlet in fluid communication with the outlet of the connector and an outlet. The check valve is operable to permit the passage of liquid from the inlet to the outlet upon pressurization of the liquid above a threshold pressurization level. The method includes the steps of introducing an amount of liquid to be applied to the selected area from the source of liquid to the first tube at a pressure below the threshold pressurization level of the check valve and providing pressurized liquid through the first tube to pressurize the liquid in the first tube above the threshold pressurization level of the check valve, thereby transporting liquid from the first tube, through the connector and the check valve and through the spray device in response to pressurization of the liquid. The liquid may be ozonated water.

Each instruction in the set is generated by analyzing a respective image of a portion of a geographic area captured by the autonomous agricultural vehicle. A spray performance of at least one spray nozzle from among the plurality of spray nozzles is identified as an outlier by analyzing the sets of instructions respectively provided to the plurality of spray nozzles. An action with respect to the at least one spray nozzle identified as the outlier is performed. The action may be to place the vehicle in fallback state in which a targeted spray may be switched to broadcast spray.

The spray delivery system includes a spray boom coupled to a boom support, and an actuator coupled to the boom support and the chassis. The actuator is configured to adjust the height of the spray boom with respect to the clearance height of the chassis.

A mobile treatment unit having a propulsion mechanism for subvehicular passage between the rails occupied by the rail vehicle includes a dispensing portion for expelling a treatment material therefrom onto regions of the ground surface about the rails. The mobile treatment unit is maneuverable between the rails and maintains height clearance for unobstructed passage beneath the occupying rail vehicle. At least one sensor unit is coupled to the mobile treatment unit, which acquires environmental feedback data about the mobile treatment unit. A control unit is operably linked to the mobile treatment and sensor units, and receives the environmental feedback data. The control unit controls actuation of the mobile treatment unit responsive to the environmental feedback and/or a maneuver control command.

A fixed spray application system generally includes tubing, one or more spray heads, one or more brackets, one or more connectors and one or more fluid reservoirs. One or more of the spray heads may be suspended from a tube below one of the connectors and below one of the reservoirs. A tube may extend from below one of the reservoirs to another spray head supported by one of the brackets. In use, the system may be suspended from trellis wires in an agricultural field. Water, pesticides or other liquids are supplied to the system through the tubing. The size of the reservoirs and the volume of tubing can be selected to hold the desired amount of liquid for a given application. After the system is primed with liquid, the tubing is connected to a source of pressurized air. The air is supplied to the system at a sufficient pressure so as to force the liquid from the system through the spray heads.

An intelligent air-assisted spraying device for orchards includes a traction mechanism, a spaying system, a collecting system, and a processing-controlling system. The traction mechanism is provided with a spray tank. The spaying system includes a main body connected to the spray tank and multiple spraying tubes, first ends of the spraying tube are communicated with the main body, and second ends of the spraying tubes are capable of rotating. The collecting system is configured to collect a contour and a volume of the canopy, and branch and leaf density of a fruit tree. The processing-controlling system is configured to obtain multiple spraying areas, calculate an air outlet angle of each spraying tube, and control a rotation of the second end of each spraying tube according to the air outlet angle. The device can adjust the spraying direction of each spraying tube, and the quality of pesticide application can be improved.
