IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus, including a reference guide, an oblique conveyer roller, and a curve guide, is provided. The reference guide is arranged on one side in a widthwise direction with respect to a widthwise center in a sheet conveyer path and regulates a widthwise position of the sheet. The oblique conveyer roller applies a conveying force acting in a direction toward downstream along a conveying direction and toward the reference guide to the sheet. The curve guide is arranged upstream with respect to the oblique conveyer roller along the conveying direction and forms a curve. The curve guide includes an inner guide and an outer guide. The outer guide has a constant curvature throughout a width regardless of a widthwise position therein. The inner guide has a protrusive portion protruding toward the outer guide at a position on the other side in the widthwise direction with respect to the widthwise center.
Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a sheet conveyor, a conveyance guide, and a door arranged movably between an open and closed position and configured to press the conveyance guide to move it from a guide open position to a guide closed position. A first retainer engages the conveyance guide so as to retain the conveyance guide, and a second retainer disposed in a position different from the first retainer engages the conveyance guide so as to retain the conveyance guide. When the door is positioned at the closed position, the first and second retainers retain, in different positions, the conveyance guide at the guide closed position, and when the door is positioned at the open position, the first retainer maintains the conveyance guide at the guide closed position and the second retainer releases a retention of the conveyance guide at the guide closed position.
IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE
A first feeder contacts a first surface of a first sheet held in a first tray and feeds the first sheet toward a recording unit. A second feeder contacts a first surface of a second sheet held in a second tray and feeds the second sheet toward the recording unit. An inner member is disposed above a standing plate. An outer member comprises an upstream portion opposing the standing plate, and a downstream portion opposing the inner member. The inner member guides the first surface of the first sheet and the first surface of the second sheet. The standing plate guides the first surface of the second sheet. The upstream portion of the outer member guides a second surface of the second sheet, and the downstream portion guides a second surface of the first sheet and the second surface of the second sheet. The standing plate moves relative to the outer member.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes: an image recorder; a first supporter including support ribs extending to positions under the image recorder; an ink receiver disposed downstream of the support ribs; first and second roller pairs disposed downstream of the first supporter; a guide; and a protrusion disposed between the ink receiver and the first roller pair and having an upper end located below upper ends of the support ribs and above a first imaginary line connecting between a nip position of the first roller pair and a downstream end of the ink receiver. A distance between an upstream end of the ink receiver and a nip position of the second roller pair is less than a length of a first-size sheet and greater than a length of a second-size sheet. The protrusion is disposed, in a widthwise direction, in a region through which the second-size sheet is conveyed.
Image Recording Apparatus
An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a sheet includes a recording section which records the image on the sheet in a transport passage for transporting the sheet in a transport direction and multiple plates which are spaced apart from each other in a widthwise direction. These multiple plates include a first type of plate and a second type of plate. Plates of a first type of plate are configured to overlap a sheet when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction and the widthwise direction, while plates of the second type of plate do not.
Sheet conveyor and image recording apparatus
A sheet conveyor includes: a housing defining a conveyance path and a first side surface having an opening; a cover; a shaft defining a pivot axis of the cover and inserted in an elongated hole; and a limiter provided at the housing and having a contact surface that contacts the cover pivoted from a standing position to a lower position. The contact surface has a first end and a second end that is nearer to the conveyance path than the first end. The contact surface is inclined with respect to a horizontal direction such that the first end is located below the second end. The elongated hole permits the cover to move in such a direction that a pivoting distal end of the cover moves away from the opening, with the cover being in contact with the contact surface.
Sheet transport apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet transport apparatus includes a first transport device, a second transport device, a first guide member, and a second guide member. The first transport device transports a sheet. The second transport device is disposed downstream of the first transport device in a transport direction and transports the sheet. The first guide member is disposed between the first and second transport device such that the second transport device is closer to the first guide member than the first transport device and guides the sheet to the second transport device. The second guide member is disposed between the first and second transport device such that the first transport device is closer to the second guide member than the second transport device and guides the sheet to the first guide member while curving the sheet.
SHEET CONVEYANCE APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveyance apparatus has a sheet conveyance portion, a conveyance guide movable between open and closed positions, and configured to guide the conveyed sheet at the guide closed position, a door movable between a open and closed positions, and configured to move the conveyance guide from the open to the closed position in response to a movement of the door from the door open position to the door closed position, and a first retaining portion and a second retaining portion configured to retain the conveyance guide at the guide closed position in a state where the door is positioned at the door closed position. In a state where the door is positioned at the door open position, the first retaining portion maintains the conveyance guide at the guide closed position and the second retaining portion releases a retention of the conveyance guide at the guide closed position.
Sheet conveyance apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a sheet conveyance portion conveying a sheet, a conveyance guide arranged pivotably between a first open position and a first close position around a pivot axis and guiding a sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance portion at the first close position, and a door arranged pivotably between a second open position and a second close position around an opening and closing axis, and moving the conveyance guide from the first open position to the first close position by pivoting from the second open position to the second close position in a state where the conveyance guide is positioned at the first open position. The conveyance guide is retained at the first close position by a retaining portion in a state where the door is positioned at the second open position.
