An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet along a conveyance path group including at least a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path joining the first conveyance path; an image forming unit; and a path switcher, wherein: the path switcher includes: a guide unit configured to rotate about a guide supporting point and rotate between a first position and a second position; a protruding portion fixed to the guide unit; a drive lever having a first pressing surface and a second pressing surface; a first force applying unit; and a second force applying unit; the drive lever includes: a first lever; a second lever; a third force applying unit; and a restraining portion configured to set a moving end on the rotation of the second lever; and the restraining portion restricts the moving end of the second lever to a predetermined position.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on a sheet, a stacking portion on which the sheet having the image formed thereon is to be stacked, a first roller capable of forward and reverse rotations, a second roller capable of rotating with the first roller when the first roller makes a forward rotation, a third roller capable of rotating with the first roller when the first roller makes a reverse rotation and then the forward rotation, a regulation portion movable between a regulation position where entering of the sheet into a nip portion between the first and second rollers is prevented, and an allowing position where discharge of the sheet is allowed, and a movement unit configured to cause the regulation portion to be placed in the allowing position during forward rotation, and to be placed in the regulation position during reverse rotation.
Device for redirecting sheets in a printing system
A device for redirecting sheets in a sheet transport mechanism, especially sheets of a print medium in a printing system includes a support member, which carries or supports at least one guide member for directing a path of travel of a sheet. The support member is configured to be mounted adjacent a first transport path of a plurality of sheets and such that the support member is movable between a first inoperative position in which the at least one guide member does not impinge upon the first transport path, and a second operative position in which the at least one guide member is introduced into the first transport path to redirect one or more of the sheets to a second, alternative transport path. The device further includes an actuator configured to move the support member between the first and second positions. The actuator is connected to the support member such that vibrations imparted by the actuator to the support member, as the support member moves between the first and the second positions, are substantially parallel to the first transport path.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus, having a housing with an opening, an image forming unit, a path to guide a recording medium toward the opening, a reversible roller disposed in the path, and an intermediate reversible roller disposed between the image forming unit and the reversible roller, is provided. A rotating direction of the reversible roller is switchable between a first rotating direction and a second rotating direction opposite from the first rotating direction. A circumferential speed of the reversible roller is switchable between a predetermined circumferential speed and none. A rotating direction of the intermediate reversible roller is switchable between a third rotating direction and a fourth rotating direction opposite from the third rotating direction. The circumferential speed of the reversible roller in the first rotating direction is reduced to be lower than the predetermined circumferential speed while the intermediate reversible roller is rotating in the third rotating direction.
Sheet handling apparatus
A sheet handling apparatus includes: a transport path along which a sheet is transported; a first transport member disposed on one side of the transport path; and a second transport member disposed opposed to the first transport member with the transport path interposed therebetween. The first transport member and the second transport member are driven to rotate. The sheet is transported by the first transport member rotating with an outer peripheral surface thereof being in contact with a first face of the sheet, and by the second transport member rotating in a direction opposite to a rotation direction of the first transport member, with an outer peripheral surface thereof being in contact with a second face of the sheet different from the first face.
Transversal cutting equipment for sheets separable from overlapped continuous forms
Cutting equipment (41) which processes overlapped continuous forms (23H, 23L) is disclosed. The cutting is carried out by means of a cutting device (29), which separates the sheets from the forms, introduction devices (28H and 28L), which enter the continuous forms (23H, 23L) into the cutting device and a singularizing device (46) for overlapped sheets, which includes two transport paths (81 and 82), the one above the other, with differentiable transfer times; the singularizing device comprises a diverter (83) upstream of the transport paths (81 and 82); the introduction devices (28H and 28L) are actuatable for temporarily projecting a leading edge of one of the overlapped forms (23H, 23L) with respect to the other form up to a switching zone of the diverter (83), or for advancing together the overlapped forms (23H, 23L); the diverter (83) is configurable for addressing a continuous form or both forms (23H, 23L) to one or to both transport paths (81 and 82); and the introduction devices (28H and 28L) are also actuatable, in the case of projecting of one of the continuous forms, for lining up trailing edges of the sheets of the one and the other form for a joint cutting of the overlapped forms (23H, 23L) by means of the cutting device (29).
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing includes a first conveyance path, a buffering portion, a second conveyance path, a conveyance roller pair, a supporting portion, a moving member, a regulating portion, and a processing unit. The buffering portion is configured to superimpose a first sheet and a second sheet on each other in a state of being offset from each other in a sheet conveyance direction. An offset amount, by which a leading end of the first sheet in the sheet conveyance direction projects downstream in the sheet conveyance direction with respect to a leading end of the second sheet in the sheet conveyance direction in a state before the first sheet and the second sheet are discharged onto the supporting portion, is larger than a distance from a sheet contact position of the moving member to the regulating portion in the sheet conveyance direction.
Apparatus for processing sheets
A sheet processing apparatus arranged in a space between an image reading section for reading an image and an image formation section for forming an image on a sheet includes a carry-in path guiding a sheet from a carry-in entrance; a relay roller provided in the carry-in path to relay and transport the sheet; a first transport path positioned on a downstream side of the relay roller and having a carry-in roller to transport the sheet from the carry-in path to the first collection tray; and a second transport path branched from the carry-in path and having a branch roller to transport the transported sheet to the second collection tray. The relay roller shifts the sheet in a direction crossing the transport direction while a front end of the sheet enters the first transport path or the second transport path, and arrives at the carry-in roller or the branch roller.
