High clearance adjustable sprayer
An agricultural sprayer assembly includes a wheeled carriage, a chassis, and a spray delivery system. The wheeled carriage has a number of adjustable support legs (e.g., four), each formed of hydraulically coupled and actuated upper and lower leg sections or members. The chassis is supported on the wheeled carriage, at an adjustable clearance height defined by the operational height of the support legs. The spray delivery system includes a spray boom coupled to a boom support, and an actuator coupled to the boom support and the chassis. The actuator is configured to adjust the height of the spray boom with respect to the clearance height of the chassis.
System for adjusting frame height of an agricultural vehicle
A suspension system includes a strut coupled to an agricultural vehicle suspension system, a frame coupled to the suspension system, and a height adjustment mechanism coupled to the strut. The height adjustment mechanism is configured to transition the strut between a raised position, in which a frame height is at a first position, and a lowered position, in which the frame height is at a second position. The first position is higher than the second position relative to a surface of an agricultural field.
SPRAYING DEVICE AND BOOM DAMPING DEVICE
A boom damping device includes a fluid pressure cylinder configured to perform an expansion/contraction operation in conjunction with rotational movement of a boom in a roll direction of a working vehicle, a first pressure accumulator into/out of which an operating fluid flows through a first passage with the expansion/contraction operation of the fluid pressure cylinder, a second pressure accumulator into/out of which the operating fluid flows through a second passage with the expansion/contraction operation of the fluid pressure cylinder, and a shut-off switch configured to shut off the first passage and configured to shut off the second passage if at least either one of a right boom and a left boom is not at a working position expanded in a right-and-left direction of the working vehicle.
Planar Linkage, Methods of Decoupling, Mitigating Shock and Resonance, and Controlling Agricultural Spray Booms Mounted on Ground Vehicles
The current invention discloses several methodologies that mitigate shock loading and propensity to resonance in agricultural spray boom structures. These include a near planar linkage for decoupling the boom assembly from the vehicle. This serves to permit further aspects of the invention to: Use the combined mass of the booms and center section as the tuned mass of a tuned mass damper: Act as an enabling part of a boom compliant suspension system to mitigate shock loadings otherwise imposed on the boom system, and: Act as an enabling part of an active boom height and roll control systems to permit the accurate navigation of the boom over undulating terrain. Further aspects include the incorporation of tuned mass dampers in the boom structure and components; and the use of the mass and operation of the boom outboard breakaway sections as tuned mass dampers.
AGRICULTURAL CROP APPLICATION SYSTEM
A movable agricultural product applicator system for dispensing various agricultural-related products along the ground surface of agricultural crops is provided. The application system provides a hose assembly interconnecting a supporting boom and an applicator, wherein the applicator drags along the ground surface dispensing product as the supporting boom moves by a carrier. The application system may include a swivel connection facilitating a rotational and pivotal connection of the hose assembly to the supporting boom, wherein a mounting assembly removably mounts the application system to the supporting boom. The hose assembly is designed with bending properties that enable the applicator to self-center and locate rows between crops as it is being dragged along the ground surface, as well as enable the applicator to surf above obstacles.
BOOM VIBRATION CONTROL DEVICE AND BOOM SPRAYER
A boom vibration control device includes a fluid pressure cylinder provided between a boom and a boom support body, the fluid pressure cylinder biasing the boom in one rotating direction and a metal spring provided between the boom and the boom support body, the metal spring biasing the boom in the other rotating direction.
SPRAYER FLUID OPERATION SYSTEM
Embodiments of a spray fluid operation system include a fluid flow circuit that provides several sprayer features while using a minimum number of fluid pumps. In an agricultural setting, a first pump (one function of which is filling) is integrated with a second pump (one function of which is spraying) and both located compactly underneath the solution tank. In some embodiments that include only two pumps, they are centrifugal impeller pumps. Each of the two pumps is capable of performing more than one function. Together, they provide self-primed filling, auto dilution, eductor rinsing, and so on, in a fluid-isolated manner to avoid fluid contamination.
