A feed module for feeding value documents, in particular bank notes, to a value-document processing apparatus, has a receiving device in which one or more value documents to be processed can be inserted. The receiving device includes a first aligning element which the value documents lying in the receiving device are aligned to with a first edge of the value documents when the receiving device is in a first state, and a second aligning element which the value documents lying in the receiving device are aligned to with a second edge of the value documents when the receiving device is in a second state. A positioning device through which the receiving device is brought from the first state to the second state.

An example apparatus includes a main body and a tray. The main body has a first wall, a second wall and a connecting portion. The first wall, the second wall and the connecting portion form a cavity, and the first wall has a recessed portion formed at a front end of the first wall. The recessed portion is recessed from an outer plane of the first wall. The cavity is to receive the tray therein. The tray has an edge portion, the edge portion being received in the recessed portion and forming a gap between the outer plane of the first wall and the edge portion.

Provided is an image formation apparatus having a paper tray which is removably provided to an apparatus main body, in which sheets are loaded on a lifting plate, and from which the sheets on the lifting plate are fed by a paper feeding device, and the apparatus includes a holder that holds the lifting plate at a position higher than a lowest position when the paper tray is pulled out of the apparatus main body and the sheets are loaded on the lifting plate, wherein the holding by the holder is canceled to make the lifting plate go down to the lowest position before an operation of inserting the paper tray into the apparatus main body is completed.

The invention relates to a sheet depositing arrangement. The sheet depositing arrangement comprises at least one sheet depositing apparatus having a sheet stacking chamber for creating a sheet stack, and a sheet extraction device which in turn has a sheet transporting means that is drivable in a direction of circulation, a sheet delivery region for delivering the sheets to be stacked to the sheet stacking chamber, a sheet stacking region, provided downstream of the sheet delivery region, for stacking the sheets to be stacked into the sheet stacking chamber, and a return region, provided downstream of the sheet stacking region. Furthermore, the sheet depositing apparatus has a sheet retaining device with at least one sheet retaining element, arranged adjacent to the sheet stacking region, for preventing at least one sheet to be stacked from being drawn into the sheet extraction device from the sheet stacking chamber by the sheet transporting means.

Provided is a sheet post-processing apparatus capable of reliably protecting an edge-binding stapling unit and a sheet material, and of performing a sheet-binding process without increasing the size of the apparatus. The sheet post-processing apparatus includes: a binding unit movable to a binding position in which the binding unit performs a binding process using a binding member on a sheet, and an access position in which a user is accessable to the binding unit; and a control unit configured to cause, when the binding unit performs a setting operation for the binding member, the binding unit to perform the setting operation after causing the binding unit to move to a position different from the access position.

A paper cassette includes a casing and an end cap. The casing includes a receiving space for storing a stack of paper, one side of the casing defines a paper exit, the end cap is removably attached to the paper exit. When the paper exit is sealed by the end cap, the paper cassette is used to accommodate paper; when the end cap is removed from the paper exit and the paper cassette is inserted into a printing device, the paper cassette is used to feed paper to the printing device. A sheet feeder, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet loader, an air blowing device, a regulator, a sheet attracting device, and a sheet conveying body. The sheet loader loads a sheet bundle including a sheet and a subsequent sheet placed below the sheet. The air blowing device blows air and lifts the sheet over the sheet bundle. The regulator regulates movement of the subsequent sheet, and includes an opposing portion located upper end and separated from the sheet loader toward the downstream side of the sheet conveying direction and an inclined portion upwardly inclined relative to a vertical axis from a same position as the sheet loader to the downstream side of the sheet conveying direction. The sheet attracting device attracts the sheet lifted over the sheet bundle. The sheet conveying body conveys the sheet in a sheet conveying direction.

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a body, a supporting portion configured to be held in an elevating manner by the body and to support a sheet, a sheet regulation portion regulating a position of the sheet supported on the supporting portion, a movement portion capable of moving between a first position where the sheet regulation portion regulates the position of the sheet supported on the supporting portion, and a second position where the supporting portion is regulated from elevating with respect to the body, and a movement regulation unit regulating the movement portion from moving to the second position.

A paper cassette includes a casing and an end cap.
