Medium containing device and image forming apparatus
A medium containing device includes a supporting member composed with a first part, a second part and a third part connecting the first part and the second part wherein the supporting member is configured to cause the first part to incline by being lifted up from a standard position, and supports recording media. When the supporting member is in the standard position, a first height position of an upper face of a first base part in a region adjacent to the first part is lower than a second height position of an upper face of the first part in a region adjacent to the first base part, and a third height position of an upper face of the second part in a region adjacent to the first base part is lower than a fourth height position of an upper face of the first base part in a region adjacent to the second part.
MEDIUM DISCHARGING DEVICE, POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND RECORDING APPARATUS
A medium discharging device includes a side cursor, a moving unit, a discharge unit, and a side guide. The side cursor is provided in a processing tray and is provided movable in an intersecting direction intersecting a discharging direction of the medium, aligns an end portion of a media bundle in the intersecting direction, and guides the media bundle in the discharging direction when the media bundle is discharged. The moving unit moves the side cursor in the intersecting direction. The discharge unit discharges the media bundle from the processing tray to the discharge tray where the media bundle is placed. When the media bundle is discharged, the side guide is disposed alongside the side cursor in the discharging direction and restricts movement of the media bundle in the intersecting direction, which is discharged by the discharger.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a tray that stores a recording medium in a closed state in which the tray is placed in an apparatus body, the tray being capable of being pulled out from the apparatus body in a predetermined pulling direction; a transport unit that is provided on the apparatus body and that transports the recording medium in a direction crossing the pulling direction when the tray is in the closed state; a first contact portion provided on the tray and having a contact surface spaced from the transport unit when viewed in the pulling direction, the first contact portion being located upstream of the transport unit in the pulling direction and the contact surface being in contact with an upstream end portion of the recording medium stored in the tray in the pulling direction when the tray is in the closed state; a second contact portion disposed at a position that is upstream of the transport unit in the pulling direction and at which the second contact portion overlaps the transport unit when viewed in the pulling direction, the second contact portion having a contact surface that is in contact with the end portion when the tray is in the closed state; a first overlapping portion provided on the first contact portion and disposed downstream of the second contact portion in the pulling direction, the first overlapping portion overlapping the second contact portion when viewed in the pulling direction; and an urging portion that urges the second contact portion downstream in the pulling direction so that the second contact portion abuts against the first overlapping portion when the tray is in the closed state.
RECORDING MATERIAL TRANSPORT DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A recording material transport device including a transport section that transports a recording material and a support member disposed to extend in a direction intersecting with a vertical direction, and supporting the recording material from below with the transport stopped, in which the support member is provided to be capable of descending, and, as the support member descends, both of one end portion and the other end portion in the direction intersecting with the vertical direction descend and are inclined such that the one end portion is positioned below the other end portion.
Sheet post-processing device and image forming system including same
A sheet post-processing device includes: an alignment member which aligns a sheet bundle on a stacking tray; and a stapler which performs binding processing on a rear end of the sheet bundle. The stapler includes: a first stapler which moves along the rear end of a first sheet bundle and performs the binding processing on a plurality of positions at the rear end of the first sheet bundle; and a second stapler which performs, at one part of an end portion of the rear end on one side, binding processing different from the first stapler. The alignment member includes: a first alignment member and a second alignment member which align the sheet bundle in a first stacking position; and a third alignment member which is fixed to a position corresponding to the second stapler and which aligns the sheet bundle in a second stacking position with the first alignment member.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a stacking tray, a control unit, an alignment member and a supporting mechanism. The control unit performs a rotational sorting. An alignment member includes a leading end wall coming into contact with a leading edge of a portrait sheet stack, a pair of first side walls coming into contact with both side edges of the portrait sheet stack and a leading edge of a landscape sheet stack, and a pair of second side walls coming into contact with both side edges of the landscape sheet stack and aligning the portrait sheet stack and the landscape sheet stack. The supporting mechanism supports the alignment member so as to be movable in an alignment position where the alignment member protrudes from an upper face of the stacking tray and in a retracting position where the alignment member retracts from the upper face of the stacking tray.
SHEET STORING DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet storing device includes a sheet cassette and a sheet tray. The sheet cassette is for storing sheets. The sheet tray is at an inner bottom surface of the sheet cassette and rotatable around a shaft that is located along one end of the inner bottom surface in a sheet feed direction. An upper surface of the sheet tray on which the sheets are to be stored has a projection extending from a first end of the sheet tray towards a second end of the sheet tray, which is coupled to the shaft, such that the sheets on the upper surface are at least partially bent in an upward convex shape at a region above the projection.
Medium supply apparatus and image forming apparatus
A medium supply apparatus includes a box member, a bottom plate, and a rotary portion. A medium is stored inside the box member. The box member is inserted into and extracted from a body of an image forming apparatus. The bottom plate is disposed at a bottom portion of the box member. The medium is placed on the bottom plate. The bottom plate is lifted up by an elastic force of an elastic member. The rotary portion is attached to a side wall, among walls of the box member, positioned on a lateral side with respect to a front side toward which the box member is extracted from the image forming apparatus. The rotary portion is rotatable about a location of attachment of the rotary portion. The rotary portion includes a rear portion and a front portion. The rear portion is positioned on a rear side, in contrast to the front side, with respect to the location of attachment. The rear portion is moved upward by a reaction force applied from the body when the box member is extracted. The front portion is positioned on the front side with respect to the location of attachment. The front portion is moved downward by rotation of the rotary portion due to upward movement of the rear portion to lower the bottom plate against the elastic force.
FEEDING APPARATUS
A feeding apparatus includes a stacking portion, a regulating portion, a moving portion, and a detection unit. The regulating portion abuts, in a width direction, one side of stacking portion sheets having different widths and regulates movement of the sheets in the width direction. The detection unit detects a position of the moving portion in an intersecting direction. The regulating portion includes an abut portion. By abutting or not abutting the abut portion, the moving portion moves to a first position and a second position. When the moving portion moves to the first position or the second position in a predetermined proceeding direction, the moving portion does not move from the first position or the second position while the regulating portion takes a position where the regulating portion further moves in the predetermined proceeding direction.
