The cover portion is displaced between a closing position for closing the supply port and an opening position for opening the supply port. The auxiliary tray is attached to a sheet stack surface of the cover portion, and supports the sheet, together with the cover portion at the opening position. The auxiliary tray is, either in a first attachment state or in a second attachment state, attached to the cover portion. In the first attachment state, a longitudinal direction of the auxiliary tray extends along a width direction that crosses a sheet insertion direction and the auxiliary tray is stored in the sheet stack surface. In the second attachment state, the longitudinal direction extends along the sheet insertion direction, and the auxiliary tray extends out from the cover portion toward an upstream in the sheet insertion direction.
SHEET STORAGE APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet storage apparatus includes a sheet housing portion, a handle for drawing the sheet housing portion, and a cover member. The sheet housing portion is drawably disposed in the apparatus main body and configured to house a sheet. The cover member is mounted to an end portion of the sheet housing portion in a drawing direction and having, in a portion facing the handle, a recess toward a sheet housing portion. A contact portion configured to come into contact with the sheet housing portion is disposed at a position corresponding to a portion in which the recess is formed, on a facing surface of the cover member, the facing surface facing the sheet housing portion.
Post-processing apparatus
According to one embodiment, a post-processing apparatus includes a first sensor, a second sensor, and a control unit. The first sensor detects an object in a predetermined area in which a predetermined post-process is performed on a sheet conveyed from an image forming apparatus. The second sensor detects an object at a position closer to an opening in the area than the position of the first sensor with respect to the opening through which the sheet passes when the post-processed sheet is discharged from the area. When the second sensor detects an object before the first sensor detects the object, the control unit performs a predetermined process for preventing the occurrence of a failure.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus includes an apparatus body, an opening/closing portion supported on the apparatus body, a sheet supporting portion supported on the opening/closing portion and configured to support a sheet, a rotary feeding member provided on the apparatus body and configured to feed the sheet supported on the sheet supporting portion in a feeding direction, a first engagement portion provided on the apparatus body, and a second engagement portion provided on a downstream end portion of the sheet supporting portion in the feeding direction, the second engagement portion being configured to engage with the first engagement portion in an intersecting direction that intersects an axial direction of the rotary feeding member in a state where the opening/closing portion is positioned at the open position.
BANKNOTE STACKING AND SEPARATING APPARATUS AND BANKNOTE PROCESSING DEVICE
A banknote stacking and separating apparatus and a banknote processing apparatus relate to automated machinery. The banknote stacking and separating apparatus includes a frame, and a guide plate and a pressing plate that are disposed on the frame. The frame is provided with an entrance-and-exit for a banknote. One end of the guide plate adjacent to the entrance-and-exit is pivotally connected to the frame, and the guide plate is operative to rotate around an axis of a pivoting shaft and is configured to guide a moving direction of the banknote when the banknote is being collected. The pressing plate is configured to support the collected banknotes and press the banknotes towards the guide plate while the banknotes are being separated. One end of the guide plate far away from the entrance-and-exit is provided with a force-releasing portion configured to support the guide plate when the pressing plate presses the banknotes towards the guide plate, thus creating a gap between the guide plate and the banknotes supported by the pressing plate.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a sheet feeding device including a sheet feed tray on which a medium is mounted in an inclined orientation, a feeding roller configured to feed the medium, and a sheet feed slot that is defined by the sheet feed tray and the feeding roller i, and a recording section configured to perform recording onto the medium fed from the sheet feeding device. The recording apparatus includes a scanner unit that is disposed on a body of the recording apparatus and functions as a reading device for reading a document, and a guiding member that is inclined from a side surface of a guiding member installation section that is a side surface of the scanner unit on a sheet feed tray side in a state in which the scanner unit is closed with respect to the body of the recording apparatus.
DOCUMENT CONVEYING APPARATUS THAT PROPERLY DISCHARGES DOCUMENTS REGARDLESS OF AMOUNT OF DOCUMENTS
Provided is a document conveying apparatus that properly discharges documents regardless of the amount of documents stacked on a discharge tray without complicated construction of a transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force to conveying rollers. A conveying roller pair is provided at an end portion on an upstream side. A swing mechanism swings a discharge mechanism centered around a drive shaft of the conveying roller pair. An upper surface height measuring unit measures the height of the upper surface of documents stacked on the discharge tray. A control unit, by causing the swing mechanism to swing the discharge mechanism according to the height measured by the upper surface height measuring unit, performs control so that the difference between a discharge port and the upper surface of the documents stacked on the discharge tray is within a specified range.
Medium supply apparatus and image forming apparatus
A medium supply apparatus includes a box member and a lid. A medium is stored inside the box member. The box member is inserted into and extracted from a body of an image forming apparatus, and has a length in an extraction/insertion direction that is longer than a length of the body in the extraction/insertion direction. The lid is provided on a back side of the body in the extraction/insertion direction of the box member to cover at least an upper part of a portion of the box member that projects from the body. The lid includes a first member, a second member, and a first lug. The first member is movable in the extraction/insertion direction with respect to the body. The second member is connected to the first member so as to be relatively movable in the extraction/insertion direction with respect to the first member. The second member is moved by being pushed by the box member which is inserted into the body. The first lug is provided on the second member. The first lug is engaged with the box member by a force that presses the box member against the second member, and disengaged from the box member by a force that extracts the box member from the second member.
Sheet stacking device, post processing apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet stacking device includes a housing, a discharge tray, a lifting mechanism, a first upper surface detection part, a second upper surface detection part and a control part. The housing has a discharge port. On the discharge tray, the sheet discharged from the discharge port in a predetermined discharge direction is stacked. The lifting mechanism supports the discharge tray. The first upper surface detection part detects a first detected surface of the sheet on the discharge tray. The second upper surface detection part detects a second detected surface of the sheet on the discharge tray on a downstream side of the first detected surface in the sheet discharge direction. The control part controls the lifting mechanism based on a detection result of the first upper surface detection part and a detection result of the second upper surface detection part, and adjusts the discharge tray at a predetermined height.
