Image processing apparatus
12180020 · 2024-12-31 · ·

An image processing apparatus in an embodiment includes an apparatus main body, a paper feeding cassette, a drawing-in mechanism, and a restricting member. The paper feeding cassette is inserted into the apparatus main body to be capable of being drawn out in a first orientation along a first direction. The drawing-in mechanism draws the paper feeding cassette into the apparatus main body up to a drawing-in completion position along a second orientation. The restricting member restricts the paper feeding cassette present in the drawing-in completion position from being displaced in the second orientation. If the paper feeding cassette is not connected to the drawing-in mechanism even if the paper feeding cassette is pushed in up to the drawing-in completion position, the restricting member is displaced from the predetermined position to allow the paper feeding cassette to be displaced in the second orientation with respect to the apparatus main body.

Sheet conveying device

A sheet conveying device includes a tray, a device body having a conveying route of a sheet and supporting the tray, a side guide supported by the tray to be movable in a first direction intersecting with a conveying direction of the sheet and contacting an end portion in the first direction of the sheet placed on the tray, a cover rotatable with respect to the device body and covering the conveying route, and a lock lever locking the cover to the device body and provided in a position overlapping the side guide in a second direction intersecting with the conveying direction and the first direction. The lock lever is rotatable between a lock position where the cover is locked and a release position where the cover is released. The side guide includes a first notched portion facing a rotation track of the lock lever with a gap.

Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus

A sheet feeding device includes a container including a frame, an auxiliary frame member provided on the frame so as to be slidable relative to the frame, and a front cover that covers a front side of the auxiliary frame member, the container being detachably supported in a body of the sheet feeding device; a cover member that covers a top side of the container when the container is attached to the body; and a locking unit that prevents the container attached to the body from being detached from the body when the container is locked and that enables the container to be detached from the body when the container is not locked.

REMOVABLE MEDIA TRAY HAVING A HIGH LATCHING FORCE AND A LOW OPENING FORCE

A removable media tray assembly for an image forming device according to one embodiment includes a media tray having a bottom surface and a front wall extending upward from the bottom surface. A bottom surface defines a media storage location for storing a stack of media sheets. The assembly includes a housing having an opening therein to receive the media tray. A magnet and a plate provide a latching force FL greater than a pick motor stall force keeping the media tray in a closed position during media picking. A handle assembly including a finger bar and a pivoting link is mounted to the front wall. With the media tray being held closed by the latching force, a user-supplied actuation force FA that is less than 22.2 N applied to the finger bar, pivots the link which acts as a force multiplier providing a release force exceeding the latching force.

A sheet container, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a container body, a body side stopper device, a sheet tray, a tray side stopper device, a tray handler, a releasing device, and a tray locking device. The tray side stopper device has a tray side stopper portion to be engaged with the body side stopper device. The releasing device moves the body side stopper device along with movement of the tray handler from the first position to the second position. The releasing device cancels retention of the sheet tray in the container body and the tray locking device prevents the tray handler from canceling the retention of the sheet tray in the container body. The tray locking device regulates movement of the tray handler from the first position to the second position and moves the tray side stopper portion without moving the tray handler.

Sheet storage apparatus and image forming apparatus

A sheet storage apparatus includes a storage apparatus body, a sheet stacking portion, a rear end regulation member, and a rear end regulation attachment. The sheet stacking portion has an opening opened in an upward and downward direction, and is movable upward and downward with respect to a bottom portion of the storage apparatus body. The rear end regulation attachment is detachably attached to the rear end regulation member, which regulates an upstream end position in the sheet feed direction of the sheet stacked on the sheet stacking portion. The rear end regulation attachment includes a regulating portion that extends toward the bottom portion through the opening. The rear end regulation attachment regulates the upstream end of the sheet on a position downstream, in the sheet feed direction, of a regulating position of the rear end regulation member.

Paper feed tray

A paper feed tray includes: a tray main body which holds a sheet such that the sheet can be fed in a predetermined paper feed direction; and a regulation plate which can be moved in a side direction perpendicular to the paper feed direction and which regulates the position of the held sheet in the side direction. In the tray main body, a first engagement tooth row and a second engagement tooth row whose engagement teeth are aligned in the side direction are provided so as to be opposite each other, and the first engagement tooth row is higher than the second engagement tooth row. In the regulation plate, an engagement member is provided which can be moved in the direction of height of the engagement tooth rows and which engages with the engagement tooth rows to reduce the movement of the regulation plate in the side direction.

Image recording apparatus

An image recording apparatus includes: a casing; a sheet-feeder tray having a supporting surface for supporting a sheet-shaped recording medium; a recording unit which is configured to record an image on the recording medium fed from the sheet-feeder tray; a discharge roller pair configured to discharge, from the casing, the recording medium on which the image has been recorded by the recording unit; an opening-closing member which is provided on the downstream of the discharge roller pair in a direction in which the recording medium is discharged by the discharge roller pair and is rotatable between a first position where a discharging slot of the recording medium discharged by the discharge roller pair is closed and a second position where the discharging slot is open; and a restricting mechanism configured to restrict the rotation of the opening-closing member from the second position to the first position.

Removable media tray having a media restraint with translating and pivoting latching cams operable without the use of pinching

A media restraint for a removable media tray and slidably operable without the use of a pinching force. The media restraint slidably positionable on a track in a removable media tray and is operable without pinching. A pair of latching cams are used to engage the media restraint to the track and have serrated portions pivotally mounted to a bottom of the media restraint. The media restraint is operable by a finger of the user applying a downward force to the media restraint allowing a rack and pinion to horizontally translate a rack portion of the pair of latching cams away from the track and pivot the serrated portions away from the track and allowing the media restraint to be moved along the track. Upon removal of the downward force, a biasing member translates the latching cams back to reengage with the track.
