Airfoil for facilitating fluid delivery
The application is generally directed towards an airfoil for a fluid delivery tube. The airfoil includes a securing member operably connecting the airfoil to the tube, a fin extending downward and outward from the securing member and terminating in a tip, a shield extending inward and downward from the tip of the fin, and an air guide extending from a first end of the shield.
Hooded field crop spray apparatus for spraying crops
An apparatus comprises an upper air guide hood and a lower air guide hood spaced from each other. Spray nozzles are arranged between these two air guide hoods. The air guide hoods hang above or just in the tops of the crops. During the migration of the apparatus the crop is as it were torn open by the wind and/or by contact with the apparatus, so that the spray liquid is distributed among the crop.
Sprayer apparatus and systems
Sprayer apparatus for use with an elongate boom may be configured to spray a liquid onto foliage on a ground surface. The sprayer apparatus may include a spray boom, a spray hood coupled to the spray boom, an extension member coupled to the spray boom, and a mounting apparatus coupled to the extension member. The mounting apparatus may be couplable to the elongate boom to support the spray boom and the spray hood above the ground surface.
Air assistance and drift reduction technology for controlled droplet applicator
A controlled droplet applicator (CDA) system comprising a CDA nozzle cup having an open end; a shroud covering all but a portion of the open end; and an air assist device disposed proximal to the open end, the cup and the air assist device separated by at least a portion of the shroud.
Spray boom nozzle spoiler device and system
A field spraying device for spraying a liquid on a crop, includes a liquid supply tank, at least one spray boom extending from the device, the spray boom having a forward side facing the directional movement of the field spraying device in operation and an opposing rearward side, wherein the boom includes a liquid supply line connected to a plurality of nozzles along the length of the boom for spraying a field with the liquid. Further, there are a plurality of wind drift spoiler devices wherein each wind drift spoiler device is position adjacent each of the nozzles on the forward side of the spray boom. The wind drift spoiler devices include a downwardly depending deflector surface adjacent each of the nozzles. The wind drift spoiler device may also be equipped with a downwardly depending brush element, wherein the brush element is positioned to depend downwardly from the deflector surface.
Retractable spray shield for agricultural use
A retractable spray shield for agricultural use has a spray barrier; a two-part storage tube; a deployment and concealment drive having a motor, a drive shaft, and a quadrilateral linkage that in one direction deploys the spray barrier from the storage tube and in a second opposed direction conceals the spray barrier within the storage tube. The quadrilateral linkage is defined by a rotating arm; a pushing arm coupled to the drive shaft; the bottom of a unit storage tube, and a transfer arm supporting the spray barrier. The spray barrier has a generally triangular and flaccid liquid barrier film, a pair of framing legs coupled to opposed edges of the liquid barrier film, and a spring configured to operatively stretch the pair of framing legs apart from each other and thereby expand the barrier film toward a planar, generally triangular geometry when deployed.
Spray device for spraying liquid on crops
A spraying device 1 for attachment to an elongated boom 3 present on an agricultural tractor, which extends at right angles to the direction of movement 5 of the agricultural tractor, has an elongated first blade 15, which is parallel to the boom 3. The spraying device also has a number of nozzles 19 which are connected to the first blade 15 and are oriented in a direction opposite to the direction of travel 5. Furthermore, the spraying device has an elongated second blade 25 which is also parallel to the boom 3 and which is spaced from the first blade 15. This second blade 25 is pivotable about a pivot axis 27, which is parallel to the boom 3. The second blade 25 is pivotable independently of the first blade 15 to direct the air flow 27 above the nozzles 19 so that the spray liquid completely ends up on the crop.
