Boom roll linkage

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a boom suspension system that mitigates roll of respective booms as an associated vehicle rolls from side to side. The exemplary system can comprise a stabilizer bar that couples a left boom to a right boom, by coupling to respective booms' tilt cylinders. The stabilizer bar can be engaged with a central frame, which is fixedly engaged with the vehicle's chassis, through a stabilizer link. The stabilizer link allows the stabilizer bar to move horizontally left and right independently of the left and right movement of the central frame, caused by the vehicle roll. In this way, the inertia of the respective booms allows the stabilizer bar to remain in a substantially neutral position while the central frame, and vehicle, roll from side to side.

Stainless Steel Spray Boom for Aerial Spraying

The present disclosure is directed to spray boom for aerial spraying comprising an elongate housing operable to be mounted to an underside of an aircraft, the elongate housing defining a hollow cavity, and a plurality of couplings positioned along at least a portion of a length of the elongate housing, wherein each of the plurality of couplings comprises a cylindrical boss that is unitary with and thermally formed from the elongate housing.

UPWARD FACING LIGHT SENSOR FOR PLANT DETECTION
20230206353 · 2023-06-29 ·

A farming machine is configured to identify and treat plants in a field. The farming machine includes one or more light sensors for measuring a characteristic of light. The one or more light sensors are coupled to the farming machine and are directed a substantially upwards orientation away from the plants. A control system adjusts settings of an image acquisition system based on a characteristic of light measured by the one or more light sensors. The image acquisition system captures an image of a plant using one or more image sensors coupled to the farming machine, the one or more image sensors directed in a substantially downwards orientation towards the plants. The control system identifies a plant in the image and actuates a treatment mechanism to treat the identified plant.

Agricultural spray boom

An improved agricultural spray boom having a primary section, a secondary section and a break away section is provided. The primary section has a top extrusion having a web and two tubes, each tube having a heat sink and a wing. No welds are located above the centerline of the tubes where stress would be the greatest. The secondary section is pivotally attached to the primary section. Weight of the second section and break away section cause a twisting force to be applied to the primary section. The primary section has specially oriented side braces which act in compression to resist the twisting force. The primary section further has a steel connector connected to the underside of the extrusions (and not welded to top of extrusions). The secondary section also has a top extrusion with a web and two tubes.

Segmented boom system for work vehicle

Embodiments of a boom system for a work vehicle has a first boom member with a plurality of first boom segments aligned lengthwise to extend along a first boom dimension and a second boom member with a plurality of second boom segments aligned lengthwise to extend in the first boom dimension and spaced from the first boom member in a second boom dimension. The boom system also has a union spanning the second boom dimension to couple the first boom member to the second boom member and having a first coupling segment joining consecutive first boom sections together and a second coupling segment joining consecutive second boom sections together.

Boom assembly joints

A boom structure for a mobile agricultural implement. The boom structure includes a first transversely extending beam member having a first protrusion. The boom structure includes a second transversely extending beam member having a second protrusion. The second transversely extending beam member is spatially offset from the first transversely extending beam member. A plurality of first coupling members are connected to the first protrusion and a plurality of second coupling members connected to the second protrusion. A plurality of connecting members are connected to the first and second coupling members to connect the first and second transversely extending beam members.

ARTICULATED NOZZLE-HOLDER BOOM ARM FOR AGRICULTURAL SPRAYER
20170303462 · 2017-10-26 ·

An articulated nozzle-holder boom arm for agricultural sprayer which is extensible to the sides of a main chassis and which can be folded to a transportation position by means of an intermediate hinge generally placed in an intermediate point of the boom arm, and the several sections of the beam forming the boom arm can be engaged or disengaged easily and without welding in the hinge or several supports of the beam sections, being the beam sections generally extruded aluminum profiles and the union of the profiles ends obtained engaging the same in retaining flanges included in the supports and hinges of connection of the sections.

Autonomous spraying platform

An autonomous spraying platform is provided. The autonomous spraying platform has a main frame platform supported by a first and a second wheel in tandem. Supported by the main frame platform and extended perpendicular thereto are extended booms having multiple movable and/or telescoping arms which touch the ground on each side by small wheels for balance and sensing of the ground. Liquids, foams or powders, which may carry pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers or other pro-growth ingredients, may be dispensed across the bottom edge of the extended booms. The main frame platform may be controlled locally by sensors utilizing GPS (or other positioning technology) or remotely by a computer or even alive operator. The device may allow for real-time precise delivery of pro-growth materials to plants.

SPRAY APPLICATION DEVICE

The present invention relates to spray application device(s) for application of an active ingredient(s) to agricultural crops, to vehicle(s) comprising spray application device(s), to method(s) of spray application by the spray application device(s), to computer program element(s) for controlling the spray application device(s), and for computer program element(s) for controlling vehicle(s) comprising spray application device(s).
