Device and method for detecting blockages in an agricultural sprayer
An agricultural sprayer arrangement includes a chassis, at least one ground engaging traction member carried by the chassis, a liquid tank carried by the chassis, a boom carried by the chassis, a fluid conduit associated with the boom that is fluidly connected to the liquid tank, a spray nozzle that is fluidly connected to the fluid conduit and includes a nozzle body, a differential pressure sensor with a first pressure sensor in the fluid conduit associated with the spray nozzle and a second pressure sensor in the nozzle body, and an electrical processing circuit coupled to the differential pressure sensor. The differential pressure sensor is configured to output a pressure difference signal and the electrical processing circuit is configured to report a blocked nozzle when the pressure difference signal is less than a predetermined threshold value.
Autonomous or remote-controlled vehicle platform for spraying
A vehicle platform comprises a central body that can support one or more implement configurations, such as sprayer booms, or planting row units. A plurality of adjustable legs extends downward from the central body. An arm assembly has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end is pivotably coupled the central body and the second end coupled to a support beam. A plurality of nozzle assemblies is supported from the support beam. An arm actuator is arranged to control a transverse position of the support beam and the nozzle assemblies with respect to a reference point on the central body, such that each nozzle assembly may be aligned with a row of seeds or plants.
System of integrated passageways in a carbon fiber boom and method thereof
A spray boom includes a body having a length defined a first end and a second end thereof. The body is formed by a plurality of layers of composite material adapted to be molded together to form an inner surface and an outer surface. A hollow cavity is defined in the body internally of the inner surface, and a channel is formed in the body between the inner surface and the outer surface. The channel extends along the length and is defined between the first end and the second end.
DROP-DOWN APPLICATORS FOR AN AGRICULTURAL SPRAYER
An agricultural vehicle is moveable across a surface. The agricultural vehicle includes a chassis, a traction member coupled to the chassis with the traction member configured to engage the surface and move the chassis relative to the surface, a holding tank coupled to the chassis with the holding tank configured to support agricultural matter, a support boom coupled to the chassis, and a plurality of applicator assemblies. Each applicator assembly of the plurality of applicator assemblies includes a resilient body coupled to the support boom, a foot coupled to the body with the foot configured to be biased into engagement with the surface via the resiliency of the body, and a nozzle. The nozzle is in communication with the holding tank and configured to dispense the agricultural matter.
Tire configuration system for an agricultural machine
An operator can interact with a user interface to input tire configuration information for a tires installed on an agricultural machine so that a control system of the machine can accurately apply information about the tires to display calculated parameters and/or control machine functions. In one aspect, the input could correspond to custom information for tires which the controller could use to derive tire dimensions, such as a rolling circumference of the tire, for calculating parameters. In another aspect, the input could correspond to a selection among several predetermined tire configurations. The controller can then apply the tire dimension to calculate one or more parameters, such as speed and/or distance traveled, for display, and/or to control various machine functions, such as an agricultural product application rate, steering, driveline and/or suspension control.
Deflectable touchdown wheel system for sprayer boom
A deflectable touchdown wheel system for a sprayer boom of an agricultural sprayer is provided that includes a touchdown wheel that deflects transversely when contacting the ground at an angle, damping ground contact impact forces at the sprayer boom reducing reactionary forces such as external steering inputs at the sprayer vehicle.
Self-Propelled Agricultural Sprayer
A deflectable touchdown wheel system for a sprayer boom of an agricultural sprayer is provided that includes a touchdown wheel that deflects transversely when contacting the ground at an angle, damping ground contact impact forces at the sprayer boom, reducing reactionary forces such as external steering inputs at the sprayer vehicle.
Adjustable row unit and sprayer vehicle with adjustable row unit
A first leg extends upward from the left frame and a second leg extends upward from the right frame to connect the legs to the beam. One or more satellite navigation receivers are associated with beam to determine a position and an attitude of the beam. One or more row units are suspended from the beam, such that the position of nozzle or nozzles on each row unit can be adjusted simultaneously and dynamically in multiple dimensions to maintain a target spacing between the nozzle and ground and the nozzle and a plant or row of plants.
Breakaway boom segment with perforated outer walls
A breakaway boom segment is provided with perforated outer walls. The breakaway boom segment ma have a fabricated box configuration with cutouts, which may include a pair of multi-flanged channel pieces that are connected to each other with respective channel openings facing each other and pairs of upper and lower flanges connected to each other to provide a box configuration and having an interior space that is accessible through openings of the cutouts.
UNIVERSAL JET SPRAY BAR
A universal jet bar for the spraying or the spreading of granules or liquid conventionally including two arms articulated and each provided with a plurality of segments capable of being folded onto themselves, each segment including at least one lower profile defining a longitudinal housing open downwards and at each of its longitudinal ends, the universal jet bar receiving spraying equipment, remarkable in that it includes a plurality of premounting members capable, on the one hand, of supporting the spraying equipment and, on the other hand, of being inserted into the housing and removably rigidly connected onto the lower profile along the arms, the lower profile and housing being configured to entirely receive the premounting members and the spraying equipment.
