Disclosed are methods and apparatus for treating weeds, and more specifically treating weeds by use of microwaves.

Treating a target via a modular precision delivery system

Various embodiments of an apparatus, methods, systems and computer program products described herein are directed to an agricultural observation and treatment system and method of operation. The agricultural treatment system uses a treatment unit for spraying fluid at agricultural objects. The treatment unit is configured with a treatment head assembly that includes a moveable treatment head with one or more spraying tips. A first and second motor assembly are operated by the treatment unit to control the movement of the treatment head. The first motor assembly includes a first motor rotatable in a first rotational axis. A first linkage assembly is connected to the first motor and the treatment head assembly. The first linkage assembly is rotatable by the first motor. The second linkage assembly is rotatable by the second motor.

WEED INACTIVATION DEVICE

A weed inactivation device has at least two electrodes, whereby at least one electrode is directed to the weed. The weed activation device is used as a physical herbicide apparatus. A DC or AC power supply of any number of phases generates a voltage. This voltage is fed to an inverter that increases frequency. The current with increased frequency is fed to a harmonic filter. The harmonic filter may feed a high frequency transformer that further increases the voltage input for the voltage multiplier. The output of the previous components is fed to a voltage multiplier, such as a voltage multiplier of the Cockroft-Walton type or a full wave Cockroft-Walton type. The voltage multiplier provides different voltage levels depending on its load, so for a variable load it makes an auto-adjustable power control without any additional circuitry, processor or controller necessity.

Ultrasonic algae control

Apparatus for controlling algae and bio-organisms in bodies of fluids, such as water. The algae control system includes a power unit and a transducer unit that includes a sonic head that radiates in multiple directions. The power unit connects to various power sources, including a mains supply connection, a solar panel array, and/or a battery. The power unit is electrically connected to the transducer unit. The sonic head includes a driver and a transducer subassembly. The driver excites the transducer subassembly to emit ultrasonic waves at various frequencies in the water surrounding the sonic head. Emissions at a high density of frequencies are enabled by the transducers. The frequencies include the critical structural resonant frequency for each microorganism to be controlled. The power unit and driver each include a processor in communication with each other. The processors store and execute a program for a selected application configuration.

APPLICATOR

The invention relates to an applicator, in particular a brush for the electrocution, wherein the applicator is rotationally mounted and the brush has conductive and non-conductive bristles.

An image of a portion of a geographic area is accessed by a farming machine. The image is analyzed by the farming machine to identify a plant in the portion of the geographic area. A treatment plan is determined for the plant by the farming machine based on one or more characteristics of the plant and further based on a set of treatment objectives. The set of treatment objectives including two or more of a plant hindrance objective, a plant reproduction limiting objective, a carbon footprint limiting objective, and a collateral damage limiting objective. An action is performed by the farming machine based on the treatment plan.
