The invention relates to a sheet alignment device (5) for a machine for the processing of sheets (B) consisting of a thin, flat material such as paper, cardboard or film, with a feed section, at least one sensor (30, 32) for determining the position and/or alignment of the sheet (B) and also at least two alignment modules (10), each having an alignment roller (12), to which a drive device (14) is assigned in each case, whereby there is assigned to each alignment module (10) a swivel device (16), with which the alignment roller (10) can be swivelled around a swivel axis (A) perpendicular to the feed section. The invention relates also to a machine for the processing of sheets (B) consisting of a thin, flat material such as paper, cardboard or film, whereby a sheet alignment device (5) of the aforementioned type is provided. The invention relates finally to a method for the aligning of a sheet (B) consisting of thin, flat material such as paper, cardboard or film by means of the following steps: the alignment of the sheet (B) is determined, the sheet (B) is speeded up, turned and/or displaced laterally by means of at least two alignment rollers (12), controllable with regard to circumferential speed and alignment, on a feed section.
Paper feeder and image forming apparatus
A paper feeder includes: first and second accommodation units which are arranged side by side in a casing along a recording paper conveyance direction and in which recording paper is loaded in a specified accommodation orientation; and an erroneous loading detection unit which is provided in a non-loaded region between the first and second accommodation units, detects whether or not the recording paper is loaded, and detects recording paper accommodated in an orientation other than the specified accommodation orientation, wherein the paper feeder can shift a bundle of the recording paper loaded in the second accommodation unit to the first accommodation unit arranged on a downstream side of the recording paper conveyance direction.

CARD FLIPPER
A card flipper includes a frame, a receptacle, and a motor. The receptacle is supported by the frame for a rotation about a flipping axis. The receptacle is configured to support a card in a support plane and receive and discharge cards along a card feed axis. The motor is configured to drive rotation of the receptacle, the support plane and the card feed axis about the flipping axis. The flipping axis is oblique to the card feed axis and is displaced from the support plane.
Skewing print medium
In one example implementation, a printing device may comprise a number of media skewing rollers to skew a print medium to a predetermined angle with respect to a media feed path and a print engine to print an image on the skewed print medium, the print engine skewing a digital representation of the image based on the predetermined angle such that the image printed is aligned with the print medium. In another example implementation, a printing device may comprise a number of skewing rollers to skew a print medium to a predetermined angle with respect to a media path, a number of pinch rollers to receive the skewed print medium prior to printing, and a print engine skewed to the same predetermined angle as the skewed print medium.

MEDIA REGISTRATION SYSTEM WITH MEDIA SENSING
A media registration system including an accumulation region and a transport track to receive and transport each media sheet of a series of media sheets forming a media job in a transport direction from an intake end to a registration end proximate to the accumulation region, and to stack the media sheets of the media job in the accumulation region to form a job stack. A translator adjusts a position of the registration end of the transport track in a direction lateral to the transport direction for each sheet to align edges of each sheet of the job stack in the lateral direction. A media sensor indicates a position of each sheet along the media path to facilitate a controller to determine an accumulation status of the job stack.

MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE
A medium processing device includes a conveyance guide that forms a conveyance path, a reference surface guide that is provided at one side of the conveyance path, a trigger sensor that detects a rear end of the medium in the conveyance direction, a first alignment roller and a second alignment roller for aligning the medium with the reference surface guide. The first alignment roller is provided at the middle, in a width of the conveyance path. The second alignment roller is provided between the reference surface guide and the first alignment roller in the width direction. The second alignment roller is provided at a downstream side of the first alignment roller in the conveyance direction. A space from the first alignment roller to the second alignment roller in the conveyance direction is longer than a space from the trigger sensor to the first alignment roller in the conveyance direction.
SHEET FOLDING APPARATUS
A sheet folding apparatus includes a sheet folding unit disposed to fold a sheet and a conveyance unit disposed to feed the sheet to the sheet folding unit in a feed direction orthogonal to a fold direction of the sheet folding unit while correcting a skew of the sheet. The conveyance unit includes an elongated reference guide, a conveyance mechanism disposed to convey the sheet in the feed direction while exerting a force on the sheet toward the reference guide, an adjustment mechanism disposed to adjust an inclination of the reference guide with respect to the feed direction. The apparatus further includes an input unit through which a user inputs a folding misalignment amount of the sheet folded by the sheet folding unit. The inclination of the reference guide is corrected by the adjustment mechanism based on at least the folding misalignment amount inputted through the input unit.
