IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus including an image forming portion, a moving portion, a re-conveyance portion, a detection portion, and a control portion is provided. The image forming portion is configured to form an image on a sheet that is conveyed. The moving portion is configured to move the sheet in a width direction. The re-conveyance portion is configured to invert the sheet having the image formed on a first surface thereof convey the sheet to the image forming portion again. The control portion is configured to control, based on a detection result of the detection portion, the moving portion to move the sheet in the width direction such that the center of the image formed on the first surface in the width direction and a center of the image to be formed on the second surface in the width direction coincide.

Method for providing a stack composed of book covers for book production
A method for providing a stack of book covers for production of finished books includes supplying a task stack of book covers having identical cover formats and stacked one above another in an unknown or known sequence. Each book cover in the task stack includes an identifier comprising cover information. The book covers are separated out and conveyed from the task stack as separate book covers in a sequence that does not change until a completion signal is transmitted. The separated out book covers are counted, an identifier on each separated out book cover is detected, and cover information is read out of the respective identifier stored. The separated out book covers are deposited on top of one another in the sequence in which they were separated out for forming a detected stack. An identifier is stored that identifies the detected stack together with the temporarily stored cover information.

Image processing apparatus, information processing apparatus, and control method
An image processing apparatus performs a binding process for binding a plurality of sheets. When a binding unit configured to bind sheets without using a staple performs the binding process, the image processing apparatus adds a mark for identifying a position where the binding process is performed.
SHEET PROCESSING MACHINE COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE SENSOR DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BY OPEN-LOOP CONTROL AND/OR CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL AT LEAST ONE COMPONENT OF A SHEET PROCESSING MACHINE
In some examples, a sheet processing machine includes at least one sensor device that includes at least two sensors configured as a camera. The sheet processing machine further includes at least one infeed system. The at least one sensor device is configured to control, by open-loop control and/or closed-loop control, at least one servo drive of the infeed system as a function of at least one sheet of sheets being detected by the at least two sensors. The at least two sensors are configured to selectively detect at least one edge and/or printing mark of the sheets. Some examples likewise relate to a method for controlling, by open-loop control and/or closed-loop control, at least one component of a sheet processing machine.
CONVEYANCE CONTROL DEVICE
A conveyance control device controls conveyance of a plurality of sheets including an image-formed sheet. The conveyance control device includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain display image data indicating a display image of each of the plurality of sheets; a region-specifying unit configured to specify common color regions having a common display color on the plurality of sheets based on the display image data; and a multiple feed detector configured to detect multiple feed of the sheets based on a light-receiving amount of light irradiated onto the common color regions; wherein the display image data indicating a display image of the image-formed sheet includes predetermined image data indicating a predetermined image to be previously formed and sheet image data indicating a sheet image displayed in a sheet color of the sheet.
Conveyance device, image reading device, and image forming apparatus
A conveyance device includes a conveyance roller pair to convey a recording medium to an image reading position of an image reading unit. The conveyance roller pair includes a drive roller and a driven roller. The driven roller contacts the drive roller and rotates following the drive roller. The drive roller has a diameter satisfying a relation in which a detection mark on the recording medium is on a position away from a leading end of the recording medium by an integral multiple of a circumference of the drive roller in a conveyance direction of the recording medium.
