Non-Uniform Tail Sealing and Methods Thereof

A consumer width sized roll comprising wound web material comprising a tail. The tail may comprise a bonding material. The bonding material may be arranged in a novel pattern.

Medicinal agent inspection system, winding device, feed device, and holder

To provide a medicine inspection system capable of appropriately outputting an inspection result while minimizing damage and the like to a packaging bag and a medicine. A medicine inspection system 10 includes an inspection device 20 which inspects a numerical quantity and/or a type of a medicine contained in a packaging bag p based on an image photographed of the packaging bag p to be inspected, and a marking device 50 which records an inspection result from the inspection device on the packaging bag p. After the packaging bag p, which has a seal section S formed by pressure bonding an overlapping portion of a packaging paper, is inspected at the inspection device 20, a stamp which indicates the inspection result thereof is output by a marking device 50 onto the seal section S.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING AN ABSORBENT PAD

An apparatus for forming an absorbent pad for an absorbent sanitary article having a zone free of absorbent material to define a channel of the pad includes a forming drum, a first feed system for feeding a first web, a second feed system for feeding a second web, a spreader for spreading the absorbent material on the drum; a joining system for joining the first and second webs to define the channels. A first dispenser forms on the first web a layer of first adhesive substance according to a spreading pattern having zones free of the first adhesive substance corresponding to the channels. A second dispenser dispenses a second adhesive substance, whose adhesive force is greater than an adhesive force of the first adhesive substance, on the second web according to a pattern having a layer placed at a zone free of the first adhesive substance.

Sheet fed device

A sheet fed device having a media tray and a sensor assembly is disclosed. The media tray includes a major surface having a leading portion and a trailing portion. The sensor assembly is operably coupled to the media tray. The sensor assembly includes a detector spaced-apart from and movable relative to the media tray in a path laterally across the major surface between the leading portion and the trailing portion.

Feeder for feeding document to document imaging system and method for feeding documents

A method and apparatus for processing documents are provided. The apparatus includes a feeder for receiving a packet of a plurality of documents and separating the documents to serially feed the documents to a scanner. A retard adjacent the feeder is operable in first and second positions. In the first position the retard forms a nip with the feeder so that the retard is operable to impede the progress of one or more documents in the packet while the feeder feeds one of the documents in the packet. In the second position, the retard is spaced apart from the feeder to form a gap between the feeder and the retard. The system further includes a sensor for detecting a characteristic of the documents in a packet indicative of whether the number of documents in the packet exceeds a predetermined threshold. A drive mechanism automatically drives the retard pad between the first and second positions in response to the detected characteristic.

Document scanner with envelope discrimination and detection
11053090 · 2021-07-06 ·

A system for detecting envelopes from multi-fed documents in a scanning system with a scanning track along which documents move laterally toward a scanning station having a plurality of spaced apart penetrating detectors across the scanning track. The scanners detect a leading edge as a single layer material, i.e. without an air gap and the interior as having an air gap in the document scanned. If a document has an interior air gap, but the leading edge does not, it is first assumed to be an envelope.

LIGHT DETECTION SENSOR, LIGHT DETECTION DEVICE, SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE, AND LIGHT DETECTION METHOD

A light detection sensor includes a light source that irradiates a detection target with light, a rod lens that collects emitted light from the detection target, a first light receiving element that detects the emitted light that has passed through the rod lens, and a second light receiving element that detects the emitted light that has passed through the rod lens, at a position different from a position at which the first light receiving element detects the light.

Cartridges, Dispensers, and Kits For Dispensing Stethoscope Covers

A kit for dispensing disposable stethoscope covers is provided. The kit may include a cartridge and a dispenser for automatic touch-free dispensing of disposable stethoscope covers. The kit further includes a first spool having a roll of backing member with disposable stethoscope covers disposed thereon and a second spool for receiving the spent backing member after a disposable stethoscope cover has been removed, self-contained within the cartridge. The cartridge is inserted within the dispenser so that a user may insert a stethoscope head through a window of the dispenser to attach to a disposable stethoscope cover. The kit may further include a proximity sensor for detecting a user. Upon detection of the user, the first and second spools rotate to align a disposable stethoscope cover with the window of the dispenser in a ready-to dispense position.
