Rodent trap with presence indicator mechanism
Pest-management apparatuses and related methods. At least some of the present pest-management apparatuses comprise: a base, a lid coupled to the base such that the lid is movable between open and closed positions, where the base and lid define a chamber when the lid is in the closed position; a pest-capture device disposable within the chamber and having a capture element that is movable between set and capture positions; and an elongated indicator configured to extend through an opening in the lid when the lid is in the closed position.
Safe release frog and toad trap
There is provided a safe and humane trap for toads and frogs which is capable of easily releasing the captured amphibian into the wilds or into a collection bag. The trap generally includes a box having a movable trap door allowing the toad or frog to enter the trap and a separate release door for releasing the toad or frog from the trap. A release mechanism is provided to selectively lock and release the release door. At least one bag hook is provided on the trap to retain a collection bag over the release door.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ATTRACTING AND CAPTURING BIRDS
An example of a system for removing target animals such as birds from an area in a humane manner includes a cage with a substantially unidirectional entry and a device for attracting the target animals into the cage through the entry. The target animals captured in the cage can be released to another area as needed.

Cage trap door-opening assembly and cage trap with the same
A pre-tensioned door opening assembly and a lock plate releasing mechanism for an animal cage trap having an entry door operative with an animal access opening and a locking mechanism that is engaged upon door closure to prevent the door from being opened by a trapped animal. The pre-tensioned door opening assembly includes a plurality of cable routing elements, and an automatic-return retracting mechanism having a cable. The housing of the automatic-return retracting mechanism is mounted outside the enclosure with the cable being routed through the cable routing elements and operatively coupled with the door. The lock plate releasing mechanism is mounted on the trap roof in functional cooperation with the locking mechanism. The lock plate releasing mechanism disengages the locking mechanism to allow the pre-tensioned door opening assembly to open the entry door of the trap.

PEST CAPTURE APPARATUS AND METHOD
A pest trap comprising a pest-trapping portion (4) and a holder (14) for a bait for attracting a pest. The pest-trapping portion (4) is arranged between a first opening (6) through which the pest may enter the pest-trapping portion (4) and a second opening (8) which is closable. The trap is arrangeable in either of two modes. In a first mode, for familiarising pests to the trap, the second opening (8) is open and the pest can approach bait in the holder (14) without entering the pest-trapping portion (4). In a second mode, for trapping or killing pests, the second opening (8) is closed and the pest can approach the bait by entering the pest-trapping portion (4) through the first opening (6).
A method is provided for trapping the pest using the pest trap, by placing the trap in a position for trapping the pest, setting the trap in the first mode, and then switching the trap to the second mode.
