Devices for controlling the movement of small animals through fences
20200396956 · 2020-12-24 ·

A control device which, when it is installed as part of a fence, allows a small animal to pass from a first side of the fence to the other side of the fence, but prevents an animal which has passed through the device from returning to the first side of the fence. The control device can comprise (1) a mouth which (i) is exposed on the first side of the fence and (ii) has an open cross-section, and (2) an extending passage which extends away from the mouth to an exit. The extending passage can narrow as it extends from the mouth to the exit.

Remote sensing repeating rodent trap

A rodent trap has a base with a rodent inlet opening and interior walls which define a rodent runway which communicates with a trap interior compartment. A downwardly opening compartment with a cover defines a case which receives a sensor module mounted beneath a threshold at the entry of the rodent runway to the trap interior compartment. The module has a capacitance sensor which detects the passage of a rodent into the interior compartment, and has a programmable controller which logs each rodent entry. The module has a Bluetooth transmitter which allows the module to communicate with a pest control operator to exchange the logged information. The case encloses the sensor module and protects it from exposure to moisture, dirt, and rodent waste within the trap interior.

Bait station

A bait station including a first bait station subassembly and a second bait station subassembly removably-secured to the first bait station subassembly. The first bait station subassembly includes a housing, at least one panel-engaging member and a lid member. The housing has a body defining an axial passage and at least one radial passage in fluid communication with the axial passage. The lid member is hingedly-connected to the housing. The lid member defines a passage. The second bait station subassembly includes a bait spike and a bait spike retainer. The bait spike retainer defines an axial bait spike passage. The bait spike is movably-disposed within the axial bait spike passage of the bait spike retainer and the passage of the lid member. A portion of a bait station is also disclosed. A bait spike assembly is also disclosed. A method is also disclosed.

bear foot snare/cable restraint delivery system
20200323192 · 2020-10-15 ·

The invention relates to device that cooperates with a typical foot snare (i.e. a one comprised of a cable loop and spring compression) to capture an animal without harming the animal. The device is triggered by and relies on the momentum generated by an animal, such as a bear, when reaching into the device and pulling up the bait. The momentum of from the animal grabbing the bait actuates a cable loop foot snare via the compression spring and the cable loop ascends and closes around the appendage of the animal, with the lock securing the cable loop on the animal without harming the animal.
