A feeding mechanism comprises a base body, a feeding roller and a linkage assembly. The base body has a feeding channel. The feeding roller is disposed on the base body, and a part of the feeding roller is located in the feeding channel. The linkage assembly comprises a guiding component and a pressing component. The guiding component is pivotally coupled to the base body. Two ends of the pressing component are respectively and slidably disposed on the base body and the guiding component. The guiding component is rotatable relative to the base body so as to drive the pressing component to move along an extension direction of the feeding channel relative to the guiding component.

The present invention provides a label printer, including an upper cover module and a bottom case module configured to cooperate with the upper cover module in printing. An elastic wall is disposed at an articulating part between the upper cover module and the bottom case module. An inclined surface is provided at a corresponding position of the lower cover module. When the upper cover is opened upward to the maximum extent, a tail end of the elastic wall cooperates with the inclined surface to form a support structure to prevent the upper cover module from falling due to the gravity and the like when the upper cover module is opened.

A sheet conveying apparatus configured to convey a sheet includes a reversing portion, a reversing retraction portion provided in the reversing portion, a conveyance portion, a guide member provided in the reversing retraction portion, and a fan provided in the conveyance portion. The reversing portion conveys the sheet in a first direction and then a second direction opposite to the first direction. The reversing retraction portion temporarily retracts the sheet conveyed in the first direction. The conveyance portion has a conveyance path through which the sheet conveyed in the second direction passes and configured to convey the sheet. The guide member guides one surface of the sheet. The fan blows air toward the sheet guided by the guide member and is disposed to blow the air of the conveyance path in the conveyance portion toward the reversing retraction portion and along the guide member in the first direction.

A medium feeding device includes a medium placing portion, a feeding roller that feeds paper, a medium movement detecting portion that is positioned on a placing region of the paper of the medium placing portion in a medium feeding direction and is capable of detecting movement of the paper being fed in a width direction intersecting the medium feeding direction, and a controller that stops feeding of the paper in a case in which a physical quantity relating to movement of paper in the width direction exceeds a predetermined threshold based on a detected result by the medium movement detecting portion.

A feeding apparatus includes a feeding rotary member, a conveying rotary member pair, an output unit, a detection unit, and a control unit. The conveying rotary member pair includes first and second rotary members. The control unit stops a feeding operation when the detection unit does not detect the recording material by the time when a threshold time has elapsed after an operation of feeding a recording material is stated. The control unit determines that the recording material is stopped at a position on an upstream side relative to the nip portion in the feeding direction in a case where a rotation speed of the second rotary member, indicated by a state signal output from the output unit at least in a period of time from when the recording material reaches the nip portion to when the feeding operation is stopped, is faster than a threshold speed.

An image forming apparatus having a printer for printing an image on a sheet fed from an external sheet feeding apparatus sets the sheet feeding apparatus as a sheet feed source of the sheet to be used by the printer for printing and in accordance with the setting, makes a notification so as to notice a user to set a feeding parameter in the sheet feeding apparatus.

A paper output tray includes: a tray main body where sheets discharged from an apparatus main body are stacked; a first extension tray which is to be housed in the tray main body on a lower surface side thereof so as to be pullable forward from a front end of the tray main body; and a second extension tray which is rotatably supported by the first extension tray and is expandable from a closed state, in which the second extension tray is folded on the upper surface of the first extension tray, to an open state in which the second extension tray extends forward of the first extension tray. An image forming apparatus includes a stacking unit, an access detecting unit, a malfunction detecting unit, a counting unit, and a process deciding unit. The stacking unit receives, as stacked, a recording material. The access detecting unit detects an access to the stacking unit by an operator. The malfunction detecting unit detects that a conveyance malfunction of the recording material has occurred on a conveying path guiding the recording material supplied from the stacking unit. The process deciding unit decides a process to address the conveyance malfunction based on the number of the conveyance malfunction counted by the counting unit.

The apparatus is provided with plural stages detachably loaded therein, having a common carrying passage carrying a sheet from a lower stage, a sheet detection sensor that detects a sheet stored in stage, and plural searching patterns varying in priority levels in stage searching, and includes a stage searching part that, every time feeding from stage is performed, performs stage searching based on any one of the searching patterns, and a system control part that notifies stage searching part of detection result by sensor and stage specified as default, stage searching part selecting pattern according to detection result and default to perform stage searching, and system control part performing stage changeover based on priority levels in stage searching in pattern selected.
