RECORDING MATERIAL TRANSPORT DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A recording material transport device including a transport section that transports a recording material and a support member disposed to extend in a direction intersecting with a vertical direction, and supporting the recording material from below with the transport stopped, in which the support member is provided to be capable of descending, and, as the support member descends, both of one end portion and the other end portion in the direction intersecting with the vertical direction descend and are inclined such that the one end portion is positioned below the other end portion.
Image forming apparatus to ensure workability in removing a sheet in a conveyance path
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, an apparatus main body, a conveyance unit, an opening/closing member, a discharge unit, and a stack tray. The conveyance unit conveys a sheet to the image forming unit. The opening/closing member opens and closes relative to the apparatus main body, and, where the opening/closing member is in an open state relative to the apparatus main body, allow making access to the conveyance unit. The discharge unit discharges the sheet on which the image is formed. The stack tray is turned between a first position for stacking sheets on the stack face, and a second position with an angle formed between an underside opposite to the stack face and a horizontal plane that is larger than an angle of the first position, and includes an engagement portion to engage with the apparatus main body in the second position.
UNWINDER OF THIN PLY PRODUCT WOUND ON A ROLL, WITH FACILITATED EXTRACTION OF THE ROLL
Unwinder of a thin ply product wound on a roll, comprising a first roll-holder assembly equipped with a first unwinding rod for a respective roll, on which the roll is adapted to be supported, and which has an axis of rotation transversal to the direction of movement of the ply unwound from the roll, a second roll-holder assembly equipped with a second unwinding rod of a respective roll, on which the roll is adapted to be supported, said second rod being parallel to said first unwinding rod of the first roll-holder assembly, said second roll-holder assembly facing said first roll-holder assembly in an unwinding zone, a ply splicing assembly placed above said first and second facing roll-holder assemblies, a ply accumulation unit to allow automatic switching between a roll being unwound in one said roll-holder assembly and a spare roll provided in the other roll-holder assembly, a system for the lateral movement of each of said unwinding rods with respect to said unwinding zone, from said unwinding zone to a loading zone wherein said rolls are outside said winding zone to facilitate loading the rolls into the respective roll-holder assemblies, wherein said splicing assembly can be moved from a working position above the two said roll-holder assemblies in said unwinding zone, to a working position above an extracted roll assembly in the loading zone, to allow preparation for splicing of the leading edge of the ply wound on the spare roll.
Media path
A media path includes a first media path portion, and a second media path portion opposed to the first media path portion, where the first media path portion and the second media path portion form the media path therebetween, and where, to open the media path, the first media path portion is rotatable relative to the second media path portion and the second media path portion is rotatable relative to the first media path portion.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding device includes a casing; a door rotatable relative to the casing; a tray configured to stack a sheet thereon and rotatable between a closed position where the tray is closed to the casing, a first open position where the tray opens relative to the casing at a first angle, and a second open position where the tray opens relative to the casing at a second angle larger than the first angle; and a sheet feeding unit provided in the casing and configured to feed the sheet stacked on the tray being in the first position. When the door is opened relative to the casing at an angle exceeding the first angle in a state in which the tray is in the first open position, the door moves the tray to the second open position.
Paper jam clearance mechanism
Examples of a paper-clearance apparatus for removing jammed paper from a printer are described herein. The paper-clearance apparatus includes an outer shaft mounted transversely above a printing medium path of a printer; an inner shaft movably disposed inside the outer shaft; a roller assembly including a sliding bush mounted over the outer shaft; and a handle connected inside the inner shaft from outside a printer housing. The handle is being rotatable so that the roller connected with the inner shaft touches the jammed paper and rotates along with the jammed paper to grip the jammed paper. Further, the handle is being pullable away from the printer housing so as to pull out the jammed paper beneath the printer housing.

SHEET GUIDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET GUIDING DEVICE
A sheet guiding device includes a cover unit, a swing guide, a link member, and a contact member. The cover unit is configured to be openably disposed on a housing of an image forming apparatus. The swing guide is configured to move between a guide position at which the swing guide is open to guide a sheet and a retracted position at which the swing guide is closed. The swing guide is configured to move from the retracted position to the guide position along with closing movement of the cover unit. The link member has one end configured to be held by the housing and an opposite end engaged with the swing guide. The contact member is disposed on the cover unit. The contact member is configured to contact the link member to rotate the link member in the closing movement of the cover unit.
APPARATUS FOR CUTTING A MATERIAL WEB INTO INDIVIDUAL SHEETS WITH A WEB STORAGE
An apparatus, in particular roll-type cross cutter, is shown and described, further in particular for forming a shingled stream of underlapping or overlapping sheets, in particular sheets of paper or cardboard, having a cross-cutting device for cutting a material web into individual sheets and having a web storage upstream of the cross-cutting device along the web transport path for storing and/or providing a material web, the material web being fed to the web storage from a web unwinding. According to the invention, it is provided that the web storage for storing the material web is arranged in the region of the cross-cutting device below the running height of the sheets.
SHEET FEEDING CASSETTE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
