A first cover includes a first discharge tray portion and a first recess. The first discharge tray portion supports a discharged sheet. The first recess is formed at the first discharge tray portion. The first recess extends along a sheet discharge direction to a downstream end of the first discharge tray portion in the sheet discharge direction. The second cover surrounds the first cover. A second cover includes a second discharge tray portion and a second recess. The second discharge tray portion is arranged downstream of the first discharge tray portion in the sheet discharge direction. The second discharge tray portion supports the discharged sheet in cooperation with the first discharge tray portion. The second recess is arranged downstream of the first recess in the discharge direction. The second recess is formed continuously from the first recess, and serves as a sheet handle portion in cooperation with the first recess.

Bail arm to rotate and oscillate

Examples disclosed herein relate to a device including a bail arm to rotate and oscillate. Examples include a shaft coupled above an output tray; and a bail arm to rotate and oscillate about a central axis of the shaft. In examples, the bail arm is to provide a downward force on the output tray.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS

Provided is a printing apparatus comprising: a discharging unit configured to convey and discharge print media; a tray configured to receive print media discharged in a first direction from the discharging unit; and a drive unit configured to move the tray in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. In discharging print media, the tray is moved in the second direction to thereby receive the discharged print media at a plurality of different positions on the tray. The tray is movable to a take-out position being a position closer in the second direction to a take-out side where print media are taken out than any of the positions at which the tray receives the print media discharged from the discharging unit.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD

Provided is a technique that enables proper sorting of discharged print media by suppressing curling of each of the print media sufficiently. A determining unit determines a curling suppressing operation to be executed such that in a case where sorting operation is executed, the suppressing operation having a higher effect of suppressing curling is executed than in a case where the sorting operation is executed. Then, a print control unit controls a print head to perform printing on print media while executing the suppressing operation determined by the determining unit.

Provided is a technique capable of detecting the amount of a stack of discharged print media and increasing print speed. A printing apparatus includes a displacement member configured to be in contact with the discharged print media and be displaced according to the amount of the stack of the print media, and detects the stack amount based on the displacement of the displacement member. The apparatus performs a first or second detection operation based on the detected stack amount. In the first detection operation, after a specified number of print media are discharged with the displacement member positioned at the evacuation position where it does not come into contact with a print medium, the displacement member is brought into contact with the print media to detect the stack amount. In the second detection operation, the stack amount is detected with the displacement member in contact with the print media.

Finisher output bin assembly

A system for presenting media sheets includes a finisher output bin assembly. The finisher output bin assembly includes a translatable output floor, and a guide substrate coupled to the translatable output floor to guide the translatable output floor relative to the guide substrate in at least one coordinate direction. The finisher output bin assembly includes an output structure mechanically coupled to the translatable output floor to drive the translatable output floor relative to the guide substrate.

An image reading apparatus, having a housing, a feed tray, and a reader sensor, is provided. The housing includes a reversing guide, a discharge tray, and an opening. The reversing guide is configured to reverse a first face and a second face of a sheet and guide the sheet from a first position toward a second position in a direction from a rear side toward a front side at the first position and in a direction from the front side toward, the rear side at the second position. The discharge tray is arranged at a position lower than the reversing guide and is configured to support the sheet discharged from the conveyer path. The opening is formed between the reversing guide and the discharge tray and is configured to expose the sheet supported by the discharge tray so that the sheet is removed through the front side of the housing.

PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Provided is a printing apparatus that prevents a print medium from buckling during discharging, a method of controlling a printing apparatus, and a storage medium. In the case where the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is higher than or equal to the specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to the discharging tray at the print conveyance speed, and in the case where the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode lower than the specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to the discharging tray at the specified speed increased from the print conveyance speed.

MEDIUM PROCESSING DEVICE AND MEDIUM TRANSACTION DEVICE

A medium processing device is provided including: a conveyance section that conveys a sheet-shaped medium along a conveyance path; a drive transmission section that transmits drive force to the medium so as to cause the medium to travel along the conveyance path; an operation knob that is provided on an operation side face of the conveyance section, and that is used for operating the drive transmission section; and a storage box that stores the medium therein, and that is capable of transitioning between an opposing state in which the storage box opposes the operation side face of the conveyance section over a range including at least the operation knob, and a non-opposing state in which the storage box does not oppose the operation side face.
