ANIMAL TRAP
A flexible net structure and trap is provided that includes a net, an upper cord, and a secondary net. The net includes first flexible lines. The upper cord is attached to the net at an upper lateral edge and extends a first length of the net. The flexible net structure includes a wall portion that extends from the upper cord to a ground portion and the ground portion extends from a lower lateral edge to the wall portion. The collapsible net is configurable in a closed configuration where the first and second lengthwise ends are disposed proximate to each other. The secondary net is formed from second flexible lines. The secondary net is attached to the flexible net structure in the wall portion and is disposed on an interior side of the flexible net structure. The second flexible lines have a greater cut resistance than the first flexible lines.
ANIMAL TRAP
A flexible net structure and trap is provided that includes a net, an upper cord, and a secondary net. The net includes first flexible lines. The upper cord is attached to the net at an upper lateral edge and extends a first length of the net. The flexible net structure includes a wall portion that extends from the upper cord to a ground portion and the ground portion extends from a lower lateral edge to the wall portion. The net structure has a width that extends between an upper lateral edge and a lower lateral edge, a first length that extends between a first lengthwise end and a second lengthwise end at the upper lateral edge, and a second length that extends between the first and second lengthwise ends at the lower lateral edge. The net structure includes a net and an upper cord. The upper cord is attached to the net. The net structure is configurable in a set configuration having an interior trap region. In the set configuration, the net structure has a first circumference at the upper lateral edge and a second circumference at the lower lateral edge. The first circumference is greater than the second circumference.

An animal trap is provided that includes a plurality of posts and a net structure. The net structure is attached to the posts. The net structure has a width that extends between an upper lateral edge and a lower lateral edge, a first length that extends between a first lengthwise end and a second lengthwise end at the upper lateral edge, and a second length that extends between the first and second lengthwise ends at the lower lateral edge. The net structure includes a net and an upper cord. The upper cord is attached to the net. The net structure is configurable in a set configuration having an interior trap region. In the set configuration, the net structure has a first circumference at the upper lateral edge and a second circumference at the lower lateral edge. The first circumference is greater than the second circumference.
Animal sorting device
An animal sorting device comprising a housing having an entrance, an exit, and an animal dispatch chamber. The animal dispatch chamber comprises entrant assessment means to determine if an entrant is either a pest or a non-pest, animal dispatching means to dispatch the pest, and means to urge either a dispatched pest towards an aperture or the non-pest towards the exit. A modular animal sorting device is also disclosed.
METHODS RELATING TO PEST CONTROL
Disclosed is a method of incapacitating a target pest species. The method having the steps of providing a trap enclosure, the trap enclosure having an entry point for the target pest species into an interior of the trap enclosure, and a bait station to attract the target pest species. Provided also is a kill engine, at least in part mounted from the trap enclosure, to at least in part deliver incapacitating energy to the target species, whereby the kill engine does not require electricity, the kill engine using an inflammable gas charge, the kill engine when triggered actuates and then resets itself. A source of compressed inflammable gas is connected to and supplies the kill engine. Present is a species adapter connected at least in part to the trap enclosure to adapt the trap enclosure to the target pest species, the species adapter based on the size, habits or travel, nature of the target pest species. A kill zone is defined within an interior of the trap enclosure and or the species adapter. A trigger mechanism actuates the kill engine when triggered by the target pest species when in the kill zone. A force delivery hammer, driven by the kill engine, delivers the incapacitating energy, such that when the target pest species enters the apparatus and the kill zone it triggers the trigger mechanism to in turn actuate the kill engine to deliver the incapacitating energy by impacting the pest.
