The separation member and the first conveying member form a nip portion and separates recording materials at the nip portion. The second conveying member conveys a conveyed recording material. The drive unit drives at least the feeding member. The control unit controls to feed first and second recording materials such that a second recording material front edge passes the nip portion before a first recording material rear edge passes the nip portion, and controls to stop the second recording material after the second recording material front edge has passed the nip portion such that the first recording material rear edge reaches the second conveying member before the second recording material front edge reaches the second conveying member.

An automated product dispenser for dispensing a product from a supply of product is provided. The automated product dispenser includes a chassis assembly, a drive assembly, and an isolation member. The chassis assembly includes a chassis frame, and the drive assembly includes a motor, a drivetrain, and a drivetrain housing. The isolation member mounts the drive assembly to the chassis assembly such that the drive assembly is substantially spaced apart from the chassis frame. A printer includes an apparatus body having a recording head for performing recording onto a sheet of paper. The printer also includes a unit body that is accommodated inside the apparatus body and has a path-forming surface formed at least on a portion of the periphery of the unit body. The path-forming surface forms a medium transport path. The unit body includes a plurality of openings that are in communication with a sound absorber disposed inside the unit body. The plurality of the openings are provided at least on a portion of the path-forming surface.

A paper supply apparatus includes: a primary paper supply roller that feeds out and conveys a print medium from a paper tray on which the print medium is placed; resist rollers that a leading end of the print medium abuts to form a flexure in the print medium by temporarily ceasing conveyance, and rotate at a predetermined timing after this flexure is formed, to convey the print medium toward a conveyance mechanism; and a control unit that executes assist control that drives the primary paper supply roller during the time that the print medium is being conveyed by the resist rollers to assist conveyance of the print medium by the resist rollers. The control unit executes the assist control such that the flexure in the print medium remains at a point in time at which the leading end of the print medium reaches the conveyance mechanism.

A recording apparatus includes a housing having a feeding port through which a medium is introduced into the housing, a feeding tray for supporting the medium fed through the feeding port, and a rotary damper configured to generate torque, in which the feeding tray includes a rotation shaft about which the feeding tray is rotatable, relative to the housing, between a close position at which the feeding tray holds the feeding port in a close state and an open position at which the feeding tray holds the feeding port in an open state, and the rotation shaft and the rotary damper are interlocked with each other.
