Segment roller
A segment roller (1) has a roller body (2), which is mounted rotatably about an axis (3). To this end, the roller body (2) has on the outside grooves (9), in which tongues (8) of profiles (7) engage. These profiles (7) grip the material web (5) directly or indirectly. In order to increase the working life and improve the mechanical properties of the profiles (7), the profiles (7) are of shear-resistant configuration and have elastic lips (20). These elastic lips (20) are deformed upon the engagement of the tongue (8) in the groove (9).
Winding Device with Support Roller and Contact-Force Control Device as well as Yarn Processing Machine
The invention relates to a winding device (16) for winding a yarn (20) onto a package tube (22) in order to form a yarn winding package (24). The winding device comprises a spindle (34) for holding and rotationally driving the package tube (22) about its longitudinal axis (30) and a support roller (40) that abuts against the peripheral surface of the yarn winding package (24) during winding of the yarn (20). The spindle (34) with the yarn winding package (24) can be swiveled relative to the support roller (40) by means of at least one pivotably mounted swivel arm (46). The winding device has a contact-force control device (54) with an actuator (56) for the swivel arm (46), with a control device (58) for controlling the actuator (56), and with a bending beam load cell (60) associated with the swivel arm (46). This is used to determine a respective actual value of the contact force F.sub.A of the yarn winding package (24) against the support roller (40) with which the contact force F.sub.A can be regulated to a predetermined target value by means of the control device (58) through appropriate controlling of the actuator (58). The invention further relates to a yarn processing machine (10) with an aforementioned winding device (16).
Paper supply apparatus
A paper supply apparatus includes: a primary paper supply roller that feeds out and conveys a print medium from a paper tray on which the print medium is placed; resist rollers that a leading end of the print medium abuts to form a flexure in the print medium by temporarily ceasing conveyance, and rotate at a predetermined timing after this flexure is formed, to convey the print medium toward a conveyance mechanism; and a control unit that executes assist control that drives the primary paper supply roller during the time that the print medium is being conveyed by the resist rollers to assist conveyance of the print medium by the resist rollers. The control unit executes the assist control such that the flexure in the print medium remains at a point in time at which the leading end of the print medium reaches the conveyance mechanism.
Nip roller and method of manufacturing film roll body
A nip roller includes a core material having a surface coated with rubber. The nip roller having a support length L.sub.1 of 5 m or longer. The rubber surface has a hardness H (deg) equal to or lower than 65 deg as measured by a JIS K6253 Type A durometer (A type). Mass W (kg) of the nip roller and second moment of area I.sub.1 (m.sup.4) and the Young's modulus E.sub.1 (Pa) of the core material satisfy E.sub.1I.sub.1/W80000.

Drive transmission apparatus and image forming apparatus
The present disclosure provides a drive transmission apparatus capable of reducing vibration of rotating member. The apparatus includes a shaft, a pin, and a rotating member. The rotating member is engaged with the shaft by the pin and rotates with the shaft. A protruded portion is provided on one of an outer circumferential surface of the shaft and an inner circumferential surface of the rotating member. The rotating member is attached to the shaft with the protruded portion in pressure contact with another one of the outer circumferential surface of the shaft and the inner circumferential surface of the rotating member, so that swinging of the rotating member around the pin is restricted.
Document feeder and image forming apparatus
A document feeder constituting an image forming apparatus includes a paper feeder to supply a document to a document transport path, a first transporter to transport the document toward image reading positions, and a second transporter to transport the document toward the document discharging tray while supplying the document to the image reading positions. Furthermore, the document feeder includes a motor provided on the first frame, a first driver provided on the first frame and to transmit driving force generated by the motor to the paper feeder and the first transporter, a second driver provided on the second frame and to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second transporter, and a second driver to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second transporter, and a relay transmission member to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second driver.
Method, System and a Computer Program Product for Condition Monitoring of a Fiber Web or Paper Finishing Machine
A method for monitoring a machine element in a paper finishing machine (10). The machine element mounted for rotation machine elements (16-19) equipped with a sensor assembly (24) measuring force or pressure, and a counter-pair (15, 20, 33, 44) for said machine element. The machine element is made to rotate against the counter-pair, a measurement signal (25) is generated between the machine element and the counter-pair with the sensor assembly, and recording a reference cross-directional profile (21) of force or pressure generated. Condition monitoring (38) of vibration with the reference profile is by comparison of current signals with the reference so as to detect periodic variation (39.1, 39.2) in the cross-directional pressure profile, and producing visual information (37) from the analysis for monitoring. The invention also relates to a corresponding system, a rotating machine element for the method or the system, and a computer program product.
