DIGITAL RODENT COLLECTION TRAP
20190059355 · 2019-02-28 ·

A rodent trap with a containment chamber which allow the capture, counting, containment and reporting of captured rodents such as rats or mice. The electromechanical trap has at least three main components, a microcontroller with memory, a sensor or switch, a stepping motor, an LCD display, and a cellular radio with one or more antenas. As the rodent influences a sensor by way of movement or pressure which causes a change in continuity of the circuit, a microcontroller is awakened from a sleep mode and actuates the rotation of a stepper motor, revolving a trap door to move the rodent to the containment location, count the capture, and report the count digitally.

Two-door cage trap with over-center set mechanism

A cage-type animal trap with two opposed animal access openings that can operate in a one-door-opening configuration or a two-door-opening configuration. The trap has a set mechanism for holding one or both doors open to allow access through the corresponding trap access openings. The set mechanism includes a set lever that is movable from a set position to a tripped position and that is coupled to the doors of the trap by an actuating member. Upon actuation, the set lever moves from the set to the tripped position to allow movement of the actuating member which enables one of the doors to move from an opened position to a closed position when the trap is operating in a one-door-opening configuration, and both of the doors to move from the opened position to the closed position when the trap is operating in the two-door-opening configuration.

ANIMAL TRAP WITH THREE WAY TRIGGER
20180360021 · 2018-12-20 ·

A trap for capturing small animals, such as raccoons, includes a housing with front and rear doors, and a three-way trigger which is actuated by an animal trying to reach bait located in the housing and behind the trigger. The trigger can be moved longitudinally forward to a set position which holds the door open to release the door to a closed position.

The trigger can be actuated or tripped in either left or right lateral directions, or in a rearward longitudinal direction to release the door to a closed position. The trigger is spring biased toward the set position. The front door slides vertically within guide tracks extending along opposite lateral edges of the front door, or alternatively, is hinged for pivotal movement. The back door can be opened for positioning bait inside the housing.

One way door animal excluder with plated coil spring door hinge

A one way door animal excluder includes an elongated enclosure to support a door within. The door pivots between an open and a closed position wherein an animal can push the door open from only one side. A top plate is fitted atop the enclosure and crimped at flanges of the top plate, with at least one flange also crimped around a hinge wire of the door to form a pivotal attachment of the door to the enclosure. The top plate includes an opening with tabs extending therein to form a spring mandrel to support a torsion spring. The torsion spring biases the door to close. The spring includes a loosely wound coil that may be temporarily compressed to install upon the tabs. An upward extending hump of the top plate is positioned adjacent to the spring coil to protect the spring coil structure.
