Bait station for pest control
10357027 · 2019-07-23 · ·

A bait station for pest control is provided that comprises an enclosure. The enclosure defines an access chamber that includes an entry port for entry of a pest therein, and a bait chamber that holds a bait product harmful to a pest. A partition section separates the access chamber and the bait chamber. A closure element is associated with the access port and is moveable between a first position covering the access port, and a second position exposing the access port. A detector arrangement outputs a signal indicative of presence or otherwise of a pest in the access chamber. A controller receives the signal and records a pest activity event. The controller moves the closure element to the second position to open an access port between the access chamber and the bait chamber when a number of recorded pest activity events are at least equal to a predetermined number.

A device for trapping a rodent includes one or more of a floor, walls connected to the floor, an aperture in at least one of the walls, and a platform positioned within the container. The platform is positioned adjacent to the aperture and elevated above the floor. An adhesive is positioned on the floor. The aperture is sized to permit a rodent to gain access to the platform.

LIVE-RELEASE ANIMAL TRAP THAT SPLITS INTO MULTIPLE SECTIONS
20190124912 · 2019-05-02 ·

An animal trap contains multiple tubular sections connected with side latches to form a single hollow structure. A trigger mechanism includes a curved wobble plate with curvature matching a rear tube section. When stepped on by an animal, the curved wobble plate pulls a trigger pin from a trap door causing the door to fall to the ground. A rotatable door latch then moves into a locked position preventing the door from opening. After determining the trap to contain an animal, a trapper transports the trap to a remote location. A pull rope is connected to at least one of the sections, and another section may be anchored to the ground using anchor pins. The trapper undoes the side latches and rotates the door latch into an unlocked position. The trapper removes the door from the trap and pulls the trap sections apart thereby releasing the animal from the trap.

A trap for capturing a plurality of animals is provided. The trap can comprise an enclosure having an opening through which the at least one animal can pass to enter the enclosure. A gate, movable between an open position and a closed position, is positioned therein the at least one opening and can be selectively moved from the open position to the closed position when desired. Methods are also provided for capturing at least one animal by providing a trap with a gate, positioning the gate in an open position, monitoring the trap until at least one animal has entered the trap, and remotely triggering the gate to move from the open position to a closed position.

ANIMAL TRAP WITH THREE WAY TRIGGER
20180360021 · 2018-12-20 ·

A trap for capturing small animals, such as raccoons, includes a housing with front and rear doors, and a three-way trigger which is actuated by an animal trying to reach bait located in the housing and behind the trigger. The trigger can be moved longitudinally forward to a set position which holds the door open to release the door to a closed position.

The trigger can be actuated or tripped in either left or right lateral directions, or in a rearward longitudinal direction to release the door to a closed position. The trigger is spring biased toward the set position. The front door slides vertically within guide tracks extending along opposite lateral edges of the front door, or alternatively, is hinged for pivotal movement. The back door can be opened for positioning bait inside the housing.
