Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the same

A sheet processing apparatus includes conveyers to convey a sheet. The conveyers include a registration conveyer which a plurality of sheets is to sequentially contact and is configured to bend a preceding sheet contacting the registration conveyer toward a direction in which the preceding sheet does not obstruct an entry of a following sheet to the registration conveyer when the conveyers overlay and convey the plurality of sheets after the plurality of sheets sequentially contacts the registration conveyer.

Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the same

A sheet processing apparatus includes a first conveyer to convey a sheet, a first folding device to fold the sheet and put a crease in the sheet, a second conveyer to convey the sheet folded by the first folding device, a second folding device to fold the sheet and put a crease in the sheet, and a guide. The first conveyer and the second conveyer are rotatable in reverse. The guide guides the sheet conveyed downstream from the first conveyer and the sheet conveyed downstream from the second conveyer.

Folding apparatus and image forming system incorporating the same

A folding apparatus includes a folding device to fold a sheet bundle, an additional folding device, a conveyer, and control circuitry. The additional folding device includes a pressure roller disposed downstream from the folding device in a sheet conveyance direction and configured to press the sheet bundle after the folding device folds the sheet bundle and a sheet support member disposed opposite the pressure roller via the sheet bundle. The conveyer conveys the sheet bundle to a position at which the additional folding device presses the sheet bundle and hold the sheet bundle at the position. The control circuitry causes the additional folding device to perform additional folding processing on a first position of the sheet bundle, the conveyer to move the sheet bundle to a second position different from the first position, and the additional folding device to perform the additional folding processing at the second position again.

RECORDING MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS OR IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM EACH OF WHICH EXECUTES STAPLING PROCESS
20200172369 · 2020-06-04 ·

A recording material processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a detecting unit, a stapling unit, an instructing unit, a control unit, a switching unit, and a notifying unit. The detecting unit detects recording material placed in the processing tray. The stapling unit executes a stapling process for the recording material placed in the processing tray. The instructing unit outputs a stapling process execution instruction. Upon receipt of the execution instruction in a state in which the detecting unit has detected a recording material inserted in the processing tray from an outside of a main body of a main body apparatus, the control unit cause the stapling process to be executed. The switching unit switches a position of the stapling unit among a plurality of positions. The notifying unit provides notification of a placement position of the recording material in the processing tray corresponding to each of the plurality of positions.

Transport device for stacking partial book blocks

A transport device stacks partial book blocks along a transport path formed of transfer paths, and includes: a first transfer path at a start of the transport device; a first separating element downstream of the first transfer path and upstream of a second transfer path; a second separating element downstream of the second transfer path and upstream of a processing machine that is operatively connected to the transport device; and a transition path which is arranged either upstream or downstream of the second separating element and within which a book block product that is to be introduced therein is transferable from a transport position where it is lying flat and into a transport position where it is guided standing up. At least one of the transfer paths is equipped with at least one sheet stack feed unit and/or at least one collator-feeder.

Device for filling a thin-walled transport container with notes of value

A device (10) for filling a thin-walled transport container (18) made of flexible material with notes of value is described. For this, the device (10) comprises a supply unit (12), a stacking unit (14) and a receiving unit (16) for receiving the thin-walled transport container (18). By means of a stuffing unit (20) the stacked notes of value are moved into the transport container (18) in several successive filling steps. A closing unit (22) closes the thin-walled transport container (18) after the last filling step. The receiving unit (16) comprises a contact sensor (32) which, upon contact with the bottom of the transport container (18), generates a signal that triggers the closing operation or the transport container (18).
