Label roll and machine having a label roll
The invention describes, and illustrates, a label roll having a roll core and having a label tape, which is wound up onto the roll core. In order that the amount of time and effort required for changing over the label rolls can be reduced without a disproportionately large amount of space having to be provided for the label compartment, provision is made for the roll core to have a plurality of rollers distributed over its circumference, around which the label tape is wound.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a tray having a plurality of sheets, a feeder to successively convey sheets stacked on the tray, a controller, and a double-feed sensor to detect double feed when the feeder conveys a plurality of sheets in an overlapping manner. When a double-feed length, which corresponds to a length, in a conveyance direction of the sheet, of a region in which the double feed has been detected by the double-feed sensor, is larger than a predetermined distance, the controller determines that the double feed has occurred. When the double-feed length is smaller than the predetermined distance and a sheet size is smaller than a predetermined size, the controller determines that the double feed has occurred. When the double-feed length is smaller than the predetermined distance and the sheet size is larger than the predetermined size, the controller determines that the double feed has not occurred.
Application of Linerless Labels
A method of applying a linerless label to an article wherein a web of joined labels is die cut from a web of label material in which the adhesive is protected by a water-soluble coating which provides a cushion between an anvil and die cutting means. The water-soluble coating is at least partially removed by exposure to water in a press following die-cutting, in a label applicator, or in an off-line unit. The web of joined labels may be wound and unwound between each of the above options. The web of joined labels may be separated in a label applicator by breaking a weakened boundary between adjoining labels or by cutting at a boundary between the label and the adjoining label. The linerless label may contain anti-counterfeit means that may be subsequently identified overtly and/or covertly.
LABEL PRINTER
A label printer includes a print head configured to perform printing on a label sheet, a transporting roller configured to transport the label sheet downstream, a peeling roller configured to transport a backing sheet in a direction different from a travelling direction of a label to peel the label from the backing sheet, and a control unit configured to control rotation of the transporting roller and rotation of the peeling roller, wherein a maximum friction force between the transporting roller and the label sheet are set such that the maximum friction force between the peeling roller and the backing sheet is not greater than a transport force of the peeling roller so as to make a transport error of the label sheet by the transporting roller within an acceptable value.
Apparatus for mounting data carriers onto a carrier web
The invention presented and described comprises an apparatus for mounting flat data carriers (1) on a continuous carrier web (2), having a data carrier supply device (3), a data carrier transfer device (4) and a carrier web positioning device (5), wherein the supply device (3) has a drive roller (6), a deflector (7) arranged substantially horizontally spaced apart from the drive roller (6) and at least one carrying belt (8) which runs around the drive roller (6) and deflector (7), wherein the carrying belt (8) has an upper run (9) which runs substantially horizontally in the feed direction of the data carriers (1), and a lower run (10) which runs in the opposite direction below said upper run, wherein the upper run (9) forms a transport path (11) for the data carrier (1) and is hydraulically connected to a suction box (12) which is arranged beneath in such a way that data carriers (1) which are located on the upper run (9) can be drawn by suction onto the carrying belt (8) by negative pressure, wherein the transfer device (4) has a transfer roller (14), which is provided with intake openings (13) on the circumference and which is hydraulically connected to a negative pressure source in such a way that data carriers (1) located on the outer casing of the transfer roller (14) can be drawn by suction onto the outer casing by negative pressure, wherein the transfer roller (14) has an entry region (15) which is adjacent to the suction box (12) of the supply device (3) and an exit region (16), which is spaced apart from the entry region (15) by a specific angle and is adjacent to the positioning device (5), and wherein at the exit region (16) of the transfer roller (14), a data carrier (1) which is located there on the outer casing of the transfer roller (14) can be transferred onto the carrier web (2).
PRODUCT TRANSFER APPARATUS AND PRODUCT TRANSFER SYSTEM
A product transfer apparatus includes a product suction pad part having a suction cup part capable of sucking a plate-like product, a transfer base whose lower part has the product suction pad part, and a label suction part having a label pad, which is able to suck a label to be pasted to the product, and an up-down function of moving the label pad up and down between a position upper than and a position lower than the position of a front end of the suction cup part.
Label stacking machine and method
A method of making a pad of labels comprises: printing display information on a top surface of a substrate; affixing a first layer of lamination material to a bottom surface of the substrate; affixing a second layer of lamination material to the top surface of the substrate, the second layer of lamination material having a release coating applied to a top surface thereof; applying an adhesive strip to a bottom surface of the first layer of lamination material, the adhesive strip being covered by a liner material; cutting the substrate having first and second layers of lamination material affixed into at least one label; removing the liner material to expose the adhesive strip after cutting the substrate into at least one label; and arranging the labels into a pad of labels.
ROLL PAPER STORAGE STRUCTURE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An roll paper storage structure includes a casing (body) configured to detachably support a first shaft to which a first roll paper (label roll paper) is set, a first storage portion provided in the casing (body) and configured to store at least a part of the first roll paper (label roll paper) set to the first shaft, and a supporting member (attachment) configured to be attachable to the first storage portion and to support an outer circumferential surface of a second roll paper (normal roll paper) that is not set to the first shaft.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND SHEET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
An image forming apparatus that assists classification of printed sheets of documents of print jobs includes: a correspondence table showing correspondence between sticky note attributes and keywords; and a hardware processor. The attributes represent appearance features of sticky notes to be attached to edges of the sheets so as to protrude from the edges. The keywords are extracted from the documents and denote topics of the documents. In response to execution request of a new print job, the hardware processor extracts a keyword from a document of the new job, judges whether the extracted keyword partially matches any keyword in the correspondence table, and when judging positively, creates a new sticky note attribute partially having an appearance feature represented by the sticky note attribute corresponding to the partially matching keyword in the correspondence table, and adds the new sticky note attribute to the correspondence table together with the extracted keyword.
