Method and apparatus for folding and opening-up wipes
Apparatus is provided for manufacturing a wipe in a three-dimensional form out of an essentially flat piece of material. The apparatus produces a blank of essentially flat planar form with a pleat folded on each side. The folded blanks are fed by a conveyor belt to an opening station. The opening station comprises a pair of movable pinch rollers which selectively grab individual blanks from the conveyor belt and feed them via belts to a pair of counter-rotating drums. The blanks are ejected from the drums, which partially opens them up in the process. The partially open blanks are fed onto a shaped former, where the final process of forming the wipe into its chosen three-dimensional form is completed.
TISSUE PAPER PRODUCTS, ROLLS AND STACKS OF TISSUE PAPER PRODUCTS, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS
This disclosure relates to a tissue paper product including between two and four plies, including at least a first ply and a second ply, the two plies, three plies, or four plies being ply-bonded to form the tissue paper product, the first ply and the second ply being the outermost plies of the tissue paper product, a grammage of the tissue paper product being to 50 g/m2 if a total number of plies of the tissue paper product is 2, 34 to 65 g/m2 if a total number of plies of the tissue paper product is 3, and 55 to 95 g/m2 if a total number of plies of the tissue paper product is 4, the first ply being made of Conventional Wet Press (CWP) paper that has been embossed with a heated embossing roll, the second ply being a structured paper ply.
Fiber product folding apparatus
A fiber product folding apparatus includes a first dashed-line cutting device used to form a plurality of first dashed lines on a first fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the first dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent first dashed lines is adjusted. A first severing device receives the first fiber product with the first dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the first fiber product. A second dashed-line cutting device is used to form a plurality of second dashed lines on a second fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the second dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent second dashed lines can be adjusted. A second severing device receives the second fiber product that includes the second dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the second fiber product. Finally, the first fiber product and the second fiber product are conducted to pass between a first folding roller and a second folding roller to proceed with folding. Since the dashed line interval of the fiber products is the size or length of a single sheet of fiber product, controlling the rotational speeds of the dashed-line rollers would allow for adjustment such that folding can be performed for multiple forms.
Multi-ply through-air dried tissue products comprising regenerated cellulose fiber
The present invention provides a through-air dried tissue product comprising regenerated cellulose fibers that can provide 25 percent or less of the total weight of the through-air dried tissue product. The regenerated cellulose fibers can have a linear density less than about 1.5 dtex and a fiber length of less than 6.0 mm. The through-air dried tissue product can provide improvements in softness at a given strength.
Forming assembly of multilayer packets of wet wipes
A forming assembly of multilayer packets of wet wipes includes: a feeding device of wipes assemblies; a forming device of packets including wipes assemblies; a packet removing device, where the forming device receives the wipes assemblies from an upper level and releases the packets at a lower level; first and second bands closed in a loop, moving along a path having a respective operating section extending vertically, including blades facing one another along the respective operating section creating housings for single wipes assemblies and defining a free space; a moving index in the free space ejecting a predetermined number of wipes assemblies onto the removing device; and a movement member advancing the index through the free space, the index including a fixed body associated with the movement member and a moving portion associated with the fixed body, allowing the index height to vary with respect to the removing device.
DISPENSER FOR ROLLED SHEET MATERIALS WITH BELT DRIVE SYSTEM
The present disclosure is in one aspect to a dispenser for rolled sheet materials. The dispenser includes a feed roller that is rotatably mounted to a housing of the dispenser housing, and that is configured to feed a predetermined amount of sheet material from the supply of sheet material through a discharge provided along the housing of the dispenser. The dispenser also has a feed roller drive assembly with a drive motor, and a belt transmission assembly. The belt transmission assembly has a drive belt coupled to the drive motor and to the feed roller such that rotation of the feed roller is driven by operation of the drive motor.
FOLDING DEVICE AND FOLDING METHOD
A plurality of folding units is arranged in a circumferential direction of a drum that rotates about an axis. Each of the folding units includes: a pad for holding one part of a workpiece on a pad surface; a first folding member and a second folding member each having a folding surface for folding a different part of the workpiece so as to stack the different part over the one part; and a pivot shaft arranged parallel to the pad surface. The first folding member, the second folding member, and the pivot shaft are configured to be rotated together until the folding surface reaches a facing position and a facing posture at which the folding surface faces the pad surface. The pivot shaft is configured to be displaced in a diameter direction of the drum crossing the pad surface.
Rolled web material feed assembly
A feed assembly for dispensing rolled web material from a bulk roll of material and that includes a feed drum and a pair of pinch rollers that cooperate with the feed drum. The feed drum and pinch rollers are oriented and constructed to mitigate jamming and/or undesired displacement of the web material as it progresses through the feed assembly. Preferably, a drum guard is disposed between the pinch rollers and is constructed to further mitigate undesired translation of the web material relative to the feed assembly during dispense operations.
Method and apparatus for producing coreless rolls of paper
A machine forms a roll of convolutely wound web material. The machine includes a winding apparatus configured to receive a mandrel and the web material and wind the web material around the mandrel. A pulling device pulls the mandrel longitudinally to remove the mandrel from the roll after forming the roll. The machine further includes a restraint that engages the peripheral surface of the roll when the mandrel is pulled longitudinally to remove the mandrel from the roll. A method is also provided. In one aspect of the method, a web material is wound around a mandrel to form a roll of convolutely wound web material. The mandrel is pulled longitudinally after the step of winding the web material around the mandrel. The periphery of the roll is restrained from moving axially when the mandrel is pulled longitudinal. The mandrel is then removed from the roll.
