ANIMAL TRAP SYSTEM
An animal trap system that improves the reliability of a pre-existing animal trap is provided. The animal trap system may include a thin membrane forming an opening, wherein the opening is dimensioned to at least partially circumscribe a trigger mechanism of the pre-existing animal trap, while a remaining portion of the trap mat overlays a substantial portion of a supporting surface and/or base of the pre-existing animal trap where the animal may be dispose when setting off the trigger mechanism. The underlying surface of the trap mat may have a relatively low friction coefficient so as to cause a fleeing animal to slide and or slip along the supporting surface and/or base.
TRIPPING IMPLEMENT FOR RODENT SNAP TRAP
An implement detachably affixable to the treadle of a standard snap trap adapted to increase sensitivity of the treadle to movement of a rodent, and thus increase sensitivity of the snap trap, and to increase the surface area of the treadle and bait engagement function thereof.
DETACHABLE HOOD FOR RODENT TRAP
A hood operable to detachably affix to a standard rodent snap trap. A base plate of a standard snap trap slides into a track defined by the hood in some embodiments. The hood defines an open forward end into which a rodent enters, being obstructed from lateral entry by sidewalls of the enclosure.
Mounting system for animal traps and bait
A trap-holding bracket and system for holding both conibear style body-gripping traps and leghold type traps, and for holding bait in position relative to such traps.
Trap bracket
An article of manufacture for use by trappers of fur bearing animals. The article of manufacture consists of a body having a plurality of circular apertures therethrough and a plurality of elongated apertures therethrough. And, a method for positioning a trap for trapping a fur bearing animal, the method using the article of manufacture provided the trap has a tang, by the steps of: (a) positioning the article of manufacture to an object; and (b) inserting said tang into one of the elongated apertures of the article. If the trap does not have a tang, but does have a coil spring, then a clip having a tang can be inserted into the spring to adapt the trap for positioning according to the method of the instant invention.
ANIMAL KILL TRAP
Described herein is an animal kill trap. More specifically, an improved animal trap configured for trapping and humanely killing small mammalian predators. The trap comprises an integrated enclosure which utilizes the lid for setting the trap mechanism, and additionally acts as a safety mechanism wherein when the lid is the open position, the trap is deactivated and thus avoiding any harm to the user. The trap comprises a tunnel architecture which is appealing to the predators, and additionally has a capture flag to indicate when a predator has been captured.
MOUSETRAP
A mousetrap having a tangle of string applied to one side of a two-sided sticky material and the other side of the material applied to the bait plate. The tangle of string catches the rodent's teeth as it eats the bait and increases likelihood of a kill or capture.
MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR ANIMAL TRAPS AND BAIT
A trap-holding bracket and system for holding both conibear style body-gripping traps and leghold type traps, and for holding bait in position relative to such traps.
PRESENCE INDICATOR MECHANISM FOR RODENT TRAP
Pest-management apparatuses and related methods. At least some of the present pest-management apparatuses comprise: an elongated resilient indicator having a first body component configured to be coupled to a capture element of a pest-capture device, the first body component having a proximal end and a connector end; and a second body component configured to be coupled to the first body component, the second body component having a receptacle end and a distal end, the receptacle end configured to be coupled to the connector end of the first body component.
Method and apparatus for controlling pest animals
An apparatus for controlling animal pests has a housing having a passage extending into the housing, the passage having a front wall and a rear wall, an impacting member movable across the passage from the front wall to the rear wall, the impacting member having a slidable arm extending out from the rear wall and having a free distal end having an impactor extending downwardly from the free distal end of the arm at the front wall, a retraction mechanism having a first support and a second support with the first support being integral with the rear wall, and a spring connected to the second support and the arm, a sensor positioned within the passage for providing a signal representative of the sensing of the presence of the animal pest, and the impacting member is operable to be released to rapidly move across the passage.
