Device and method for positioning a trap on a pole
A device and method for positioning a coil spring actuated body grip trap on a pole. A strip of material having an aperture therethrough through is inserted between adjacent coils of the coil spring of a coil spring actuated body grip trap so that the aperture of the strip of material extends from the coils. A pole is driven into the ground, the pole having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the aperture of the strip of material. The aperture of the strip of material is slid onto the pole so that the body grip trap is at a desired position on the pole so that the aperture of the strip of material jam-locks on the pole by the weight of the trap.
Rodent trap with glue
An improved rodent trap having a base, hammer bar, hold down bar, spring for the hammer bar, a latch member for the hold down bar and a bait member for holding the bait thereon just as a conventional rodent trap, and, also containing a glue area on either end of the trap wherein the platform has a cut-out area or receptacle area therein so that glue can be placed throughout the area of the base so that if a rodent comes near the trap he will either be killed by the hammer bar in a conventional manner or caught in the glue area. An optional string, which may contain disinfectant, may also be attached to the platform and used to pick-up the trap.
PEST TRAP MONITOR
Disclosed are various embodiments for a trap monitor. The trap monitor can detect when a trap is triggered using a magnetic interlock attached to the trap and a magnetic flux sensor. The trap monitors may forward trap events and other information to a central hub for communication to a server. The trap monitors and hub can be configured using infrared transmissions from a mobile device.
TRAP COVER AND INDICATOR
Briefly, embodiments of a cover for use with a trap, such as a burrowing rodent trap, may comprise a coupling to attach to a movable element of a burrowing rodent trap, an indicator to indicate a state of the burrowing rodent trap, and a housing to cover a hole into which the burrowing rodent trap is disposed, the indicator to be movable with respect to the housing.
RODENT TRAP BAIT CAGE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
Embodiments of a rodent trap bait cage, and associated systems and methods, are disclosed. The bait cage may comprise a barrier portion and a mounting portion. The barrier portion may define a bait cavity therein and include a multiplicity of bait access apertures extending between the bait cavity and an ambient environment. The bait cage may be mountable to a treadle plate of a rodent trap by way of the mounting portion. The mounting portion may include a bait pin detent portion. The barrier portion may include a roof disposed oppositely of the mounting portion. A bait pin aperture may be defined between the roof and the bait pin detent portion and configured to receive a bait pin of the treadle plate to secure the mounting. The bait pin detent portion may have a ramped surface to facilitate wedging of the bait pin detent portion under the bait pin.
Remote sensing mechanical rodent trap
A mechanical rodent trap has a jaw mounted to a base, with a trigger therebetween which is activated by the incidence of a rodent. An acceleration sensor is mounted in a case in the base in a sensor module that logs and transmit a signal indicating activation of the trap. Alternatively a magnet holder secures a magnet to the trigger, and a Hall effect sensor is used in the sensor module. The sensor modules are sealed within a compartment formed with the base beneath the trigger and closed by a cover.
A TRAP WITH DETACHABLE LURE OR BAIT CHAMBER
The present invention relates to the use of a detachable lure and/or bait chamber adapted for providing natural illumination in a trap for luring a target species into the kill zone chamber of said trap.
Pest control device mounting system
Method and apparatus for a pest control device mounting system configured for mounting pest control devices in a building and using them to control pests. The pest control device mounting system including a mounting bracket, which may have a circumferential portion defining a portal. In some examples, the mounting bracket includes a flange portion suitable for attaching to the perimeter of a cavity in a building surface. The pest control device mounting system including a plug configured to be removably attached to the mounting bracket and to substantially close the portal when attached to the mounting bracket, wherein the plug is configured to accommodate a pest control device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING PEST ANIMALS
An apparatus for controlling animal pests comprises a housing having a passage extending into the housing from an entrance, an impacting member movable across the passage and a planar sensor spaced apart from the kill bar by a predetermined distance along the passage towards the entrance, the planar sensor configured to sense the presence of the animal pest across a sensing plane across the passage wherein the impacting member is operable to be released to rapidly move across the passage when the planar sensor indicates the presence of the animal pest as passed through the sensing plane.
