HOSE-REELING APPARATUS
A hosed-reeling apparatus comprising a hose reel and a rack having a front opening for demountably receiving and supporting the hose reel. The hose reel has two sidewalls, a connection member concentrically coupling the two sidewalls, and two spindles extending laterally outward from the centers of the two sidewalls, respectively. The rack has at least a base framework, and a locking structure configurable between an unlock position and a lock position. The base framework has two upward facing channels on opposite sides thereof for demountably receiving the hose reel spindles. The channels are accessible from thereabove when the locking structure is at the unlock position, and the channels are inaccessible from thereabove when the locking structure is at the lock position. Each of the sidewalls of the hose reel may have at least one straight outer edge, allowing the hose reel sit stably on a horizontal surface or a ramp.
Apparatus for unfolding a mast
The invention relates to an apparatus for unfolding a rolled-up, elongate hollow body, having: at least one elongate hollow body which has a closed cross-sectional profile, and an unfolding mechanism which has a winding core on which the elongate hollow body is rolled up and compressed in a first state and which, by rotation, transfers the elongate hollow body from the first state into an unrolled and unfolded second state, wherein the unfolding mechanism has a supporting device, wherein the supporting device has an inner supporting element which is arranged in a cavity within the elongate hollow body and at least partially lies against the inner wall of the elongate hollow body, and has an outer fixing element which is arranged outside the elongate hollow body in the region of the inner supporting element such that the elongate hollow body can be guided through between the outer fixing element and the inner supporting element, wherein the inner supporting element interacts with the outer fixing element in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner for the axial positional fixing of the inner supporting element without being directly mechanically connected thereto.
Motorized flat web winder
A motorized flat web winder has a revolving work holder and a source of drive for turning the revolving work holder. The revolving work holder presents a generally planar support surface. The source of drive turns the revolving work holder about a turning axis. The generally planar support surface cuts the turning axis more or less perpendicularly. The generally planar support surface has a spaced pair of keeper pins extending out from an affixed butt end to a spaced tip end. Preferably, the keeper pins are off-center relative the turning but orbit about the turning axis in a near orbit. More preferably still, the keeper pins orbit the turning axis by a measure which makes either of the brass coupling ends of a fire hose the center of a spiral coil formed therefrom.
Fire hose pack roller
The fire hose pack roller includes a first embodiment where the device is held in place by a bracket positioned under a vehicle's tire and the weight of the vehicle secures the device for use or in a second embodiment where the device is removably mounted to the vehicle. The hose pack roller device includes a pair of collapsible arms that are unfolded and the fire hose is would around pegs mounted on the arms. The device further includes a set of rollers that squeezes air and water from the hose as it is wound. Once wound the hose is easily folded into a Gansner type pack for storage of the hose. The arms of the device may be folded closed such that the device forms a compact unit for storage. No external power supply is required.
Extendable spool
An extendable spool is disclosed. The length of the extendable spool is able to continuously varied. The extendable spool accounts for length variances in flow lines by extending the flow line rather than redirecting the flow. Because the flow direction does not make any turns, erosion is minimized on both the extendable spool and downstream parts. The extendable spool is readily scalable from small diameters to large diameters. Because of this, it requires fewer lines and therefore less setup time to account for length differences between large diameter lines.
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING SHEATHS TOGETHER BY APPLYING ADHESIVE INTERNALLY, A CORRESPONDING ROLL OF ADHESIVE, AND A CORRESPONDING METHOD OF CONNECTION
The invention provides a device for connecting together two flat tubular sheaths, the device including: a blocker (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d) for blocking one end of a first sheath, the blocker having means for opening an end of the first sheath; an adhesive-applicator system for applying adhesive to the inside of the open end of the sheath; the blocker being arranged to authorize closure of the end of the first sheath, once adhesive has been applied thereto, on an end of the second sheath.
The invention also provides a corresponding roll of adhesive and a corresponding connection method.
Hose reel for flat flexible hose
A hose reel for a flat flexible hose, for example a garden hose which can be connected with a water-supply system with a fitting, includes a plurality of support elements each having a a contact surface for a wound hose portion. The support elements are rotatable around an axis so as to enable the winding/unwinding of a hose portion. At least one support element moves in a radial direction with respect to the axis so as to pass between a distal and a proximal position, wherein both in the distal position and in the proximal position, the contact surfaces remain mutually spaced so as to prevent the wound hose portion from being compressed therebetween.
Apparatus and system for retrieving hose
A system for recovering hose, including a hose receptacle having an open top portion for receiving a hose and attached hose couplings. The system further including a first device having a hose recovery means comprising an upper roller and a lower roller, at least one of the upper or lower rollers being powered, and a lifting arm operably coupled to the upper roller for moving the upper roller between a first position and a second position, the upper roller being closer to the lower roller when in the first position than when in the second position. Additionally, a platform having the first device arranged thereon and capable of moving above the receptacle along a first axis and a second axis to deposit the hose in the receptacle, and a platform moving means for moving the platform along the first axis and the second axis, wherein the first axis has first axis limits and the second axis has second axis limits, the first axis limits and second axis limits being substantially coextensive with dimensions of the open top portion of the hose receptacle.
LARGE DIAMETER LAY-FLAT HOSE SPOOL APPARATUS AND METHOD
A large diameter lay-flat hose spool apparatus has a mobile platform with a chassis and wheels. Side supports extend up from the chassis. An axle bears on the side supports, spanning a gap therebetween. Plural spools are rotatably mounted on the axle. Each spool has at least one rim and a length of lay-flat hose wound thereon. A driver rotates the individual spools about the axle independently of the other spools. The driver has a first actuator that moves a drive wheel into and out of contact with a rim of one of the spools. The driver has a second actuator that moves the drive wheel from one of the spool rims to another of the spool rims. A motor rotates the drive wheel. A controller system operated the motor, the first actuator and the second actuator.
