Trap for catching animals, in particular mice or rats
A trap 1 has a frame 3, a striking bar 5 connected to the frame for killing a mouse or rat and a retaining bracket 7 attached to the striking bar, which is blocked in standby position by a blocking pawl 11 which can be released by an activating element 13. A spring 9 is present between the striking bar and the frame, which striking bar hits the frame after activation. The trap is provided with a first sensor 17 which determines whether the striking bar is present in the standby or activated position, and a second sensor 19 which determines whether a mouse is present between the frame and the striking bar or not. The trap can determine three situations with the two sensors: standby, tripped and tripped with a mouse in the trap. This allows the status of the trap to be properly monitored.
Pest control apparatus to improve health and safety of users
A pest control apparatus to aid in placement of pest control devices in hard to reach areas and improve health and safety of users. The device can have a handle, an adhesive applied to a receiving pad, and a removable protective cover in contact with the adhesive. When utilized, the pest control apparatus can minimize contact with pests and/or rodents to prevent transmittal of disease.
Wireless rodent trap sensor
A single motion sensing assembly device will activate and transmit a signal when a rodent trap is triggered. The single sensor assembly provide a sensing rod attached to one side of a leaf of an open hinge and a magnet affixed to the same leaf on the opposite side. The magnet is positioned adjacent to a reed switch and transmitter which is attached to the opposite leaf of the open hinge. The sensing rod is moved up and down causing the reed switch to activate the transmitter.
PEST CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
A pest control device comprising a capacitive sensor array including a plurality of sensor pads, the capacitive sensor array being configured to generate an electrical output signal indicating the state of each sensor pad, and an electronic controller electrically connected to the capacitive sensor array, the electronic controller including a processor and a memory including a plurality of instructions, which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to: receive the electrical output signals from the capacitive sensor array, determine a measured capacitance value for each sensor pad based on each electrical output signal, calculate a baseline for each sensor pad based on the measured capacitance value of the sensor pad, determine whether a difference between the measured capacitance value of at least one sensor pad and its corresponding baseline exceeds a first predetermined threshold, update a counter when the first predetermined threshold is exceeded, and record an event indicative of a presence of a pest when the counter exceeds a predetermined limit.

RETRACTING TUNNEL RODENT TRAP
A rodent trap covered base defines an enclosed interior accessible through a sliding plastic tunnel defining a passageway for rodents into the interior. The tunnel has a projecting strike member, and is biased by an underlying spring to a retracted position. A trigger engaging member extends from the tunnel to be retained by a catch on a trigger mounted to the base. When a rodent passes through the tunnel into the base interior, it is directed by barriers towards a rodent attracting bait. To reach the bait, the rodent must press against a pivotably mounted trigger, thereby dislodging the trigger from the trigger engaging member which releases the tunnel to be driven by the spring to retract along parallel tracks to bring the strike plate forcibly against the rodent within the trap, usually killing it, and closing the trap, which is then presented covered within the trap for disposal.

Trap and its use for killing animals
By providing a trap with a trigger mechanism, according to the invention, which comprises a stiff connecting member (10), which the animal (8) affects when it is located in a room (6) underneath bait (7), a high degree of accuracy of strike is achieved as the plunger (2) is not released until the animal (8) is located inside the room (6).
