ATTRACTANTS FOR RODENTS
Methods of using compositions attractive to rodents, such as mice and rats, are disclosed. The compositions include one or more of androstenone, testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen. The compositions can further include at least one of a lethal agent or a chemosterilant. The androstenone, testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen are isolated, purified, and/or synthetic.
Pre-loaded bait rodent trap
A rodent trap incorporating a pre-loaded bait of non-artificial fresh food in a pre-sealed container that is covered by a peelable sheeted material such that when setting the trap, an operator will peel off the sheeted material to expose the fresh food bait and then set the trap. The pre-loaded bait container finds utility in bail-type traps as well as adhesive glue traps.

Rodent Trap Having a Pivoting Hammer
A rodent kill trap in some embodiments includes at least a handle, first and second legs that are at least one of fixedly coupled with or integral with the handle, first and second parallel crossmembers coupled with and extending between the first and second legs, a trigger rotatably coupled with the first crossmember, the trigger including at least a length of the trigger extending away from the first crossmember, a hammer rotatably coupled with the second crossmember, and a sear as part of the trigger configured for being braced against the hammer in a cocked position in which the hammer is rotated about the second crossmember in opposition to a bias mechanism and wherein if the length of the trigger member is engaged by a rodent the sear is configured to be dislodged from the hammer thereby releasing the hammer to rotate in an arc to strike the rodent.

Retracting tunnel rodent trap
A rodent trap covered base defines an enclosed interior accessible through a sliding plastic tunnel defining a passageway for rodents into the interior. The tunnel has a projecting strike member, and is biased by an underlying spring to a retracted position. A trigger engaging member extends from the tunnel to be retained by a catch on a trigger mounted to the base. When a rodent passes through the tunnel into the base interior, it is directed by barriers towards a rodent attracting bait. To reach the bait, the rodent must press against a pivotably mounted trigger, thereby dislodging the trigger from the trigger engaging member which releases the tunnel to be driven by the spring to retract along parallel tracks to bring the strike plate forcibly against the rodent within the trap, usually killing it, and closing the trap, which is then presented covered within the trap for disposal.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING PEST ANIMALS
An apparatus for controlling animal pests comprises a housing having a passage extending into the housing from an entrance, an impacting member movable across the passage and a planar sensor spaced apart from the kill bar by a predetermined distance along the passage towards the entrance, the planar sensor configured to sense the presence of the animal pest across a sensing plane across the passage wherein the impacting member is operable to be released to rapidly move across the passage when the planar sensor indicates the presence of the animal pest as passed through the sensing plane.
