A bait station for exterminating rodents is secured by being weighted with water or some suitable weighting substance such as sand or fine gravel, and may use a liquid rodenticide that may be replenished without opening the bait station.

Bait station with package retention

A rodent bait station for retention of sachet bait, which is a malleable bait retained within a porous bag or package having sidewardly protruding flaps. The bait station may be a molded plastic structure with a lid hinged to a base. Base walls define a bait compartment sized to receive the sachet bait such that the flaps overlie the opposed bait compartment base walls. The lid has downwardly protruding bait compartment walls which overlie the base bait compartment walls. Undulating or jagged teeth are formed on the lid and base bait compartment walls. When the lid is closed on the base, the teeth projecting from the lid cooperate with the teeth protruding from the base, thereby engaging and clamping a retained sachet bait package flaps to thus retain the package with the bait station even after a rodent has broken into the package to access the poison contained therein.

Methods and apparatus for attracting rats

An acoustic signal for attracting rats comprising a playback recording or synthetic generation of vocalizations of rats or mice is provided. The vocalizations may be of rat pups, and may be characterized by sonic frequency components in the range of 1.8-7.5 kHz and/or ultrasonic frequency components in the ranges of 21-24 kHz, 40-50 kHz and/or 60-96 kHz. The vocalizations may be of adult male rats, including courting adult male rats, characterized by sonic frequency components in the range of 15-20 kHz and/or ultrasonic frequency components in the range of 20-100 kHz. The vocalizations may be of adult female mice, including nursing adult female mice, characterized by sonic frequency components in the range of 8-12 kHz and/or ultrasonic frequency components in the range of 25-100 kHz.

Bait station with bait support wall

A bait rack including a mounting leg and a bait support portion is provided. The mounting leg has a bottom free edge and at least one mounting slot formed therein. The bait support portion includes an intermediate portion, an upward extending portion and a trough portion. The intermediate portion is connected to the mounting leg by a bent region formed between the mounting leg and the intermediate portion. The intermediate portion extends relative to the mounting leg in a non-parallel and non-perpendicular manner. The trough portion connects and is interposed between the upward extending portion and the intermediate portion. The intermediate portion, trough portion and upward extending panel portion forming a bait holding trough therebetween. A plurality of slots provide access to the bait holding trough from a location external of the bait holding trough. A bait station including the bait rack is also provided.

Pest Control System Having Event Monitoring

Pest control systems and methods are described. The systems include a portable electronic device which is configured to identify one or more of multiple PCDs within a range of a portable electric device which have been activated, and to provide an indication to a user corresponding to at least one of the identified activated PCDs.

Attractants for mice

Compositions attractive to mice include one or more long-range volatiles and one or more short-range volatiles. The long-range volatiles can include butyric acid, 2-methylbutyric acid, and 4-heptanone. Devices and methods of using the compositions are also disclosed.

A bait station for pest control, the bait station comprising: an enclosure defining an access chamber and a bait chamber, said access chamber including at least one entry port for permitting entry of a pest into said enclosure, said bait chamber configured to hold therein bait material harmful to the pest; and a load sensing module arranged in the bait chamber for sensing changes in weight of bait material positioned in said bait chamber and operable to output signal indicative of sensed changes in weight of the bait material and transmit said output signal to a remote location.

Internal ballasted rodent bait station

A rodent bait station has a base with a hinged cover which is lockable to the base to define an interior volume which receives a ballast weight of three to twenty-four pounds which biases a floor of the base against a support surface. At least one rodent access opening in the bait station allows a rodent to pass in to the interior volume. A bait or a rodent trap is positioned within the interior volume such that a rodent can move freely within the interior volume so as to access the bait or rodent trap.
